JULIUS CAESAR Begins Performances Tonight, March 8

Performances begin tonight Tuesday, March 8 for the all-new Broadway production of William Shakespeare's JULIUS CAESAR at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street, NYC). Opening night is Sunday, April 3 at 6:30pm.

Two-time Academy® Award-winner Denzel Washington (Brutus) headlines the 30-member cast which also features Colm Feore as Brutus' co-conspirator, Cassius; Jessica Hecht as Brutus' wife, Portia; William Sadler as Julius Caesar; Tamara Tunie as Caesar's wife, Calpurnia; Eamonn Walker as Marc Antony and Jack Willis as Casca.

The JULIUS CAESAR acting company also includes: Stephen Lee Anderson, Jacqueline Antaramian, Kelly AuCoin, Ed Onipede Blunt, David Cromwell, Keith Davis, Peter Jay Fernandez, Seth Fisher, Effie Johnson, Steven M. JULIUS CAESAR is one of Shakespeare's most eloquent plays set against a political backdrop of tragic conflict as one heroic and noble man (Brutus) is tormented over the choice between loyalty to his country, and loyalty to his friend.

JULIUS CAESAR, directed by Tony® Award-winner Daniel Sullivan, is on Broadway for an exclusive engagement of 112 performances that will end on Sunday, June 12. The play is produced by Carole Shorenstein Hays and Freddy DeMann.
