VIDEO: Get a First Look at MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS at The Muny

Broadway director and writer Gordon Greenberg has revised the book for Meet Me In St. Louis at The Muny. Performances began August 4 and will run until August 12. This production, the 8th in Muny history, will also include several songs new to the stage adaptation of Meet Me In St. Louis, including 'Boys and Girls Like You and Me,' a song written by Rodgers & Hammerstein for Oklahoma! and then recorded for, but ultimately cut, from the film of Meet Me In St. Louis. This production will also include the first stage use of 'You and I,' a song in the film by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed.

SCHOOL GIRLS: OR, THE AFRICAN MEAN GIRLS PLAY Will Receive Encore Run Off Broadway This Fall

MCC THEATER just today announced the full cast and creative team for the return of the critically acclaimed, sold out, extended, award-winning play School Girls; Or, the African Mean Girls Play, written by 2017-18 Tow Playwright-in-Residence Jocelyn Bioh, and directed by Tony® Winner Rebecca Taichman. The encore production will be performed at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street) from October 16th through November 25th. Opening night is set for October 22nd. Prior to the return, Center Theatre Group in Los Angeles will present the MCC production at the CTG Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City from September 2nd through September 30th.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley Hosts Release Party For Hit Musical FOUR IMMIGRANTS Cast Album

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley launched the cast album for The Four Immigrants: An American Musical Manga at an exclusive release party at OPAL Night Club in Mountain View on Monday. The album features an infectious ragtime and vaudeville score by Bay Area composer/lyricist Min Kahng. Drawn from one of the first ever graphic novels, this comic musical follows four Japanese immigrants through a world of possibility and prejudice in turn-of-the-twentieth-century San Francisco. Christopher Lloyd To Star In POUND At The Lion Theatre

Triumvirate Artists, a NYC-based production company that most recently created the Off-Broadway show "Delirium's Daughters," announces that Drama Desk and multiple Emmy Award-winning actor Christopher Lloyd will star as Ezra Pound in their upcoming play, "POUND." San Diego REP Announces The Cast And Creative Team Of FUN HOME

San Diego Repertory Theatre announced the cast lineup for Fun Home, one of the most celebrated musicals in recent Broadway history. Fun Home is the coming-out memoir of Alison Bechdel, an exploration of family, memory, first love and a daughter's relationship with her father. Fun Home was nominated for 12 Tony Awards in 2015 winning five including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Original Score, Best Leading Actor and Actress in a Musical. Fun Home was also winner of the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Musical, Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Off-Broadway Musical and the Obie Award for Musical Theatre.

Max Crumm Stars In New Off-Broadway Musical THE EVOLUTION OF MANN

Nancy Manocherian's the cell (Artistic Director, Kira Simring), who scored a hit last season with the World Premiere musical Bastard Jones, will present the New York Premiere of THE EVOLUTION OF MANN, a musical featuring music & lyrics by Drama Desk nominee Douglas J. Cohen (Children's Letters to God, The Opposite of Sex) and book & lyrics by Dan Elish (13: The Musical) based on his novel, Nine Wives. Directed by Joe Barros (Bastard Jones), the production will star Max Crumm (Grease, Disaster!) in the title role. Previews begin September 23 at the cell with opening slated for Thursday, October 4.

ANGELINA BALLERINA The Musical Returns In October

Writers Theatre Presents VIETGONE

Writers Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma, opens its 2018/19 season with Qui Nguyen's Vietgone, directed by Lavina Jadhwani, featuring original music and music direction by Gabriel Ruiz and choreography by Tommy Rapley. Vietgone runs August 15 - September 23, 2018 in the Alexandra C. and John D. Nichols Theatre at 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe. The Press Opening is Wednesday, August 22 at 7:30 p.m.
