Pegasus Theatre Chicago is proud to announce the first production in its 2017 2018 season, Legacies, Shakin' the Mess Outta Misery, written by Shay Youngblood and directed by Pegasus Theatre Chicago's Producing Artistic Director Ilesa Duncan, with music direction by Shawn Wallace and choreography by Nicole Clarke-Springer, November 8 December 10, at Chicago Dramatists, 773 N. Aberdeen, where Pegasus is a resident artist. Previews are Wednesday, Nov. 8 Saturday, Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m.

Dramatic Publishing Company has announced that it has acquired the publishing and licensing rights to the all-new Evil Dead The Musical (High School Version). The world-premiere production occurred at Stagedoor Manor, Loch Sheldrake, N.Y., this summer.

San Diego Repertory Theatre (San Diego REP) has announced details for the fourth production of its 42nd season, Black Pearl Sings! This intimate play with music, from playwright Frank Higgins, will be helmed by Thomas W. Jones II. Black Pearl Sings! begins on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 and plays through Sunday, December 17, 2017 with an opening night on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 7 p.m. in the Lyceum Space Theatre at San Diego REP in Horton Plaza.

This exciting production has been adapted and choreographed by Boyko Dossev, also a company dancer; it incorporates music from composer Maxime Goulet, narration by local storyteller Valerie Tutson, original stop-motion animation by FBP dancers Ty Parmenter and Jacob Hoover, scenery from WaterFire Providence, Viktor Plotnikov, and others. Penobscot Theatre Company's Dramatic Academy is now registering youths aged 4-15 for its spring session, which will culminate in a full, technically supported production of Beverly Cleary's Ramona Quimby.

Pontiac Theatre IV will present its third show of the 2016-2017 season, 12 Angry Jurors. Directed by McKinley Shaw (Waterford), this classic variation of 12 Angry Men will run at the Michigan School for the Arts from March 24th through April 1st, 2017.

Penobscot Theatre Company's Dramatic Academy is now registering youths aged 4-15 for its spring session, which will culminate in a full, technically supported production of Beverly Cleary's Ramona Quimby. Classes will begin March 28 and run every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 to 4:30 for students aged 4-6 and from 4:30 to 6:30for students aged 7-15. The students will perform Ramona Quimby at the historic Bangor Opera House, May 19-21. No experience is necessary and all registrants will be cast. Session registration will close March 30.

This offering will run Tuesdays and Thursdays, January 10 through March 23, culminating in three public performances at the historic Bangor Opera House, March 24-26. Registration will close January 12. All registrants will be cast.
