The 2010 Tony Award-winning play RED and the 2010 Pulitzer Prize-winning musical NEXT TO NORMAL are among the five Boston-area premieres that SpeakEasy Stage will present during its 2011-12 Season, the company's Producing Artistic Director Paul Daigneault announced today.
Arlington VA's Signature Theatre has announced that their 2011-2012 season will feature the world premiere of 5 new works that include two new musicals that will run in repertory as part of the American Musical Voices Project Repertory Series. The season will also feature some old favorites such as HAIRSPRAY and XANADU and the Washington area premiere of GOD OF CARNAGE.

The new Broadway musical SISTER ACT will offer a limited number of $26.50 rush tickets (price includes $1.50 facility fee) in the front row of the orchestra for each performance. These rush tickets, which are available to all patrons, can be purchased at the box office only, beginning at 10:00am the day of the performance (12:00pm on Sundays). There is a limit of 2 tickets per person.

According to the Toronto Star, stage and screen star Jane Krakowski has been added to the line-up of Toronto's BlackCreek Music Festival. The event wil be held at Rexall Centre on the campus of York University on June 4.
