The Baruch Performing Arts Center was filled to capacity last night for R.Evolución Latina's Evening of Celebration.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) and Gretchen Margaroli present the new musical The Tenth Floor with music & lyrics by J. Sebastian Fabal and book by Sara Cooper. Directed by Igor Goldin, with music direction by Mark T Evans and choreography by Sue Delano, the cast features Farah Alvin as Georgia Jones, Gilbert L. Bailey, II as Clayton, Micahel Kostroff as Josh, Justin Gregory Lopez as Victor, Doreen Montalvo as Fantasy Mama, and Jeffrey Nunez as Cheche with Judah Gavra, Samantha Gershman, Jordan Grubb, and Rebecca Riker.

The 2008 Tony and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical In The Heights welcomed platinum recording artist and 2007 'American Idol' winner Jordin Sparks on August 19th, making her Broadway debut as Nina Rosario at Broadway's Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street). Sparks will play a limited 12 week engagement through Sunday, November 14, 2010. Yesterday, September 9, the cast of Broadway's IN THE HEIGHTS recorded a number for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS annual Carols for a Cure Album, which features Broadway casts performing holiday standards in the style of their musical's numbers. Broadway's Bianca Marroquin (In the Heights, Chicago) spearheaded 'To Mexico From New York with Love,' a one-night-only benefit concert last night, September 1, at the Merkin Concert Hall in the Kaufman Center. The concert featured performances from Tony nominee Tom Wopat (A Catered Affair), Carol Woods (Chicago), Jaime Camil, Tony nominee Brenda Braxton (Smokey Joe's Café), Raymond Bokhour (Chicago) and many more.

Broadwayworld.com as confirmed that Jordin Sparks is expected to return to Broadway's IN THE HEIGHTS on September 2. As reported previously, Sparks suffered a hip injury during Act 1 of the August 28 performance and has been sitting out since.
