Two strong female characters take center stage in Act II Playhouse's next drama, Collected Stories by Donald Margulies, playing in Ambler from Oct. 23-Nov. 18.

Golden Globe winner Michelle Williams (Manchester by the Sea, My Week with Marilyn, Blue Valentine) and Emmy nominee Rupert Friend (Pride and Prejudice, 'Homeland,' The Young Victoria) are the latest film & stage stars to perform on the Playing on Air podcast. Released this weekend, John Patrick Shanley's LAST NIGHT IN THE GARDEN I SAW YOU features Williams and Friend in an explosive audio play, directed by Shanley.

Shelter Transport Animal Rescue Team (START) in association with Pacific Resident Theatre presents the world premiere of a funny, refreshing and highly theatrical solo show, based on true events, by writer/performer Steve Spiro. PRT's Ann Bronston directs UK Underdog opening Sept. 20 at theZephyr Theatre for a six-week run through Oct. 28. All proceeds from the production will benefit START Rescue as well as selected animal charities and anti-bullying groups.

Moonbox Productions, winner of numerous IRNE and Elliot Norton Awards, is thrilled to announce its theatrical line up for the 2018-2019 season.  In November, Moonbox kicks-off its season with LOST AT SEA, a new repertory production of William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night and Donald Margulies' Shipwrecked! America's largest and longest running grassroots theatre project, THE ONE-MINUTE PLAY FESTIVAL (#1MPF) is beginning a dynamic partnership with Kitchen Theatre Company and creating The First Ithaca One-Minute Play Festival.

theatre KAPOW has announced its eleventh season of programming for 2018-2019. tKAPOW places great importance on the selection of a season of shows that complement each other. Previous seasons have focused on such themes as dream, see, breathe, and last season's faith & story. Now, for its eleventh season, theatre KAPOW's theme will be 'explore.' All of tKAPOW's fully staged productions this year will be at the Derry Opera House.

Williamstown Theatre Festival has announced the artists in residency for the 2018 summer season. This year's artists include WTF Commissioned Artists Benjamin Scheuer (The Lion), Bess Wohl (Small Mouth Sounds), Sharyn Rothstein (By The Water), Max Posner (Judy), and more.

Corkscrew Theater Festival presents the world premiere of The End of Mermaids, written by Anya Richkind and directed by Allison Benko. Running July 12-22, The End of Mermaids is a sinister comedy about a group of women striving to achieve true beauty through their performances at a failing mermaid theme park, while under siege from an impatient, hungry alligator. The play includes several 'underwater performance' sequences, brought to life by inventive set, costume, lighting, and sound design. Performed by Isabella Dawis, Elizabeth Evans, Lindsey Spohler, and Maggie Thompson*, The End of Mermaids kicks off the second annual season of Corkscrew Theater Festival, a new summer theater festival that provides early-career artists with a high level of production support.
