Manhattan Theatre Club's New York premiere of the American Repertory Theater production of In The Body of The World, written and performed by Tony Award winner Eve Enslerand directed by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus, opens tonight at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street). Performances began on Tuesday, January 16.

Buffalo Theatre Ensemble (BTE) the professional Equity theater in residence at the McAninch Arts Center (MAC) located on the campus of College of DuPage, marks the beginning of 2018 with two new ensemble members and as a recipient of a grant from the DuPage Foundation and additional support from the Norm Woodel Inspiration Fund.  

PRIMARY STAGES (Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director; Shane D. Hudson, Executive Director; Casey Childs, Founder) announced today Saturday Night Strings, a special post-show concert series following select Saturday night performances of A WALK WITH MR. HEIFETZ, written by James Inverne and directed by Andrew Leynse. All ticketholders for the evenings of Saturday, February 10 (Mariella Haubs); Saturday, February 17 (Edward W. Hardy of Sterling Strings); and Saturday, February 24 (Luisa Bastidas) are invited to remain after the performance to enjoy live music performed by special guest violinists. The concerts are free for all ticketholders for that evening's performance.

Minnesota Jewish Theatre Company (MJTC) continues its 23rd season with Collected Stories by Donald Margulies, offering four post-show Doorways Programs that are free and open to the public.

The Trustees of The Laurents / Hatcher Foundation, Inc. are pleased to announce that SUGAR IN OUR WOUNDS by Donja R. Love is the recipient of the Laurents / Hatcher Foundation Award. Mr. Love will receive $50,000, and Manhattan Theatre Club, who will present the world premiere in June 2018, will receive $100,000 towards the production.

Ruth Steiner is a respected author in the autumn of her career when she hires Lisa, a graduate student, to be her assistant. Under Ruth's mentorship, Lisa's talent is unleashed, but when Lisa writes a novel based upon her teacher's past, their friendship explodes with questions about intellectual property and the ownership of experiences.

As part of their 2018 Winter season, the Playing on Air podcast will release two plays by Pulitzer Prize winners John Patrick Shanley (Doubt) and Donald Margulies (Time Stands Still, Dinner with Friends) starring Golden Globe nominee Timoth e Chalamet (Call Me By Your Name, Lady Bird).

Bristol Riverside Theatre heads into the new year with Donald Margulies' Pulitzer Prize-winning classic Time Stands Still January 23-February 11. Directed by Susan D. Atkinson, the ensemble cast includes Laura Giknis, Eleanor Handley, Michael Satow, and Danny Vaccaro.
