A young girl runs through the forest, chased by her uncle who seems to be mal-intentioned. As she stops to catch her breath, she fills the audience in on her story, setting the scene for the chilling ABIGAIL/1702.

The creative team of Christian Albright and Christian Magby started wondering what happened to Mary before and after Jesus's birth. It is something that the Bible does not go into detail and so they pondered what type of narrative she might have, and that is exactly how MOTHER OF GOD came to be.

The Suzi Bass Awards revealed nominations for the 2015-2016 Atlanta professional theatre season on Monday evening, September 12, to patrons and industry artists. The Suzi Nomination Party was generously hosted by the Alliance Theatre, at 6:30pm in The Circle Room, on the third floor, 1280 Peachtree Street, Atlanta, Georgia, 30309.

This universal tale, a co-production with Theatrical Outfit, delivers a poignant message on the power of family and the strength of community in the face of adversity.
