News will host a first-ever live global broadcast on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 28 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King's March on Washington and his iconic 'I Have a Dream' speech. For the week of August 12, 2013 “ABC World News with Diane Sawyer” averaged 6.896 million Total Viewers and a 1.5 rating/6 share/1.774 million in Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research. “World News” turned in Adult 25-54 gains compared to both the previous week (1.761 million on w/o 8/5/13) and the year-ago week (1.755 million on w/o 8/13/12). In fact, “World News” stood as the only evening newscast to build on its news demo audience year to year, as both the “CBS Evening News” (-15%) and “NBC “Nightly News” (-14%) posted double-digit losses.

For the month of July, the Yahoo!-ABC News Network maintained its position as the No. 1 source for news and information online.
