Roundabout Theatre Company announces a four-week extension of the new Broadway production of the musical comedy Kiss Me, Kate, after opening to rave reviews on March 14, 2019.

It was all wunderbar last night at Studio 54, as Kelli O'Hara, Will Chase, and the company of Roundabout's latest musical, Kiss Me, Kate, celebrated opening night. BroadwayWorld was on hand for the festivities and below, you can check out photos taken after the curtain came down!

Bristol Riverside Theatre kicks off its Summer Music Fest series with Unforgettable: A Tribute to America's Greatest Songwriters on June 14-24. Unforgettable presents the best songs from pop culture, musicals, and movies, with selections such as "Night & Day", "Summertime", and "The Pink Panther Theme".  Led by Keith Baker and the BRT Band, the program features BRT favorites Demetria Joyce Bailey, Philip Chaffin, Derrick Cobey, Elyse Langley, and Keith Spencer.

Yellow Sound Label has announced the release of the new studio cast recording of Kris Kringle The Musical on Friday, February 16. Kris Kringle is the brand-new Christmas musical which made its New York debut at Town Hall in November 2017.

Some musicals or plays can be a little bit difficult to pin down or describe and Regina Taylor's Crowns, now playing at Lyric Theatre's Plaza stage is in that category. The program's Director's Notes say, in part, that the musical is "presented as a jukebox musical," which it is in that it uses previously recorded songs woven into a plot, but that doesn't tell the whole story. To say that it's a "show about hats," would be a huge oversimplification and a disservice to a show that is so much more than that.
