Small Truth Theatre are delighted to announce our DIGITAL CARAVAN THEATRE on Saturday 15th August 2020, with our first collection of audio plays by an extraordinary ensemble of award winning and acclaimed playwrights, Actors, Director and Sound Designer - all available to download for free to our wonderful audiences.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary with a ceremony held in the iconic Grand Hall of Battersea Arts Centre on Sunday 8 March 2020, the Off West End Awards once again celebrated the best of independent, fringe and alternative theatres across London.

Amanda Boxer will star in the world premiere of MUM, a new play about love, loss and dementia by actress and comedian Juliet Cowan, directed by Yasmeen Arden, opening at the Playground Theatre on 18 April and playing until 4 April, with a press night on Friday 20 March. Sian Ejiwunmi-Le Berre will star as 'Roz', Lucille Findlay as 'Laurel' and completing the cast are Lilly Driscoll and Martin Edwards.

The Roundhouse today announces a Spring 2020 Season of stereotype-smashing performing arts. Featuring Emma Frankland's Hearty, Miguel Hernando Torres Umba's Stardust, Rachael Young's Nightclubbing and Out, and Emma Dennis-Edwards' Funeral Flowers, the season runs from 27 February to 9 May.

Gilded Balloon have announced the shortlist for the 2018 Filipa Braganca Award, named in honour of the critically-acclaimed and award-winning young actor and activist who died in 2016.

From 1948 to 1971, TV's longest-running prime time variety program, CBS' 'The Ed Sullivan Show,' beamed the world's biggest stars into the homes of nearly every American household live every Sunday evening. For musicians of all stripes, performing on the show was the pinnacle of television opportunities, with singular star-making potential. Among the artists vaulted to new heights of stardom via history-making appearances were The Beatles, Elvis Presley, The Temptations, and The Supremes, all of whom returned to 'The Ed Sullivan Show' several times after electrifying debut performances on the program.

Edwards will forever be remembered as one of Motown's most celebrated vocalists. He will be dearly missed, and our thoughts go out to his family and friends during this difficult time.  

It was reported tonight that Dennis Edwards, a former lead singer of the legendary motown hitmakers, The Temptations, has passed away at the age of 74.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre announced that the world-premiere musical Ain't Too Proud The Life and Times of The Temptations is the highest-grossing production in its nearly 50- year history. With box office receipts already exceeding $3.1 million and sales still not completed Ain't Too Proud has become a bona fide hit.
