Irish Repertory Theatre and Dot Dot Productions, in association with The American Irish Historical Society, have announced full casting for the return engagement of THE DEAD, 1904 - an immersive adaptation of James Joyce's classic story, The Dead, adapted by the Pulitzer Prize winning Irish poet Paul Muldoon (Moy Sand and Gravel) and novelist Jean Hanff Korelitz (Admission, You Should Have Known).

The Irish Repertory Theatre (Charlotte Moore, Artistic Director and Ciaran O'Reilly, Producing Director) presents its first production of 2016, THE BURIAL AT THEBES written by Irish Nobel Laureate Seamus Heaney, based on Sophocles' Antigone.  Directed by Charlotte Moore, THE BURIAL AT THEBES will now star two-time Emmy Award-winner and Tony nominee Larry Bryggman (Proof, Picnic, "As the World Turns") as Creon, The King of Thebes (who replaces the previously announced John Cullum), and Rebekah Brockman (seen as Nettie on the acclaimed Cinemax series "The Knick") as Antigone.  THE BURIAL AT THEBES will be performed Thursday, January 14 - Sunday, March 6, 2016. The Irish Repertory Theatre announces the first production of its 28th theater season -- the American premiere of John McManus's THE QUARE LAND, directed by Ciaran O'Reilly.  Developed as part of the Irish Rep's Reading Series in 2014, THE QUARE LAND will be performed Tuesday, September 22 - Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the DR2 Theatre, located at 103 East 15th Street in Union Square (the Irish Rep's temporary home during renovation of its home base in Chelsea).  The Opening is scheduled for Thursday, October 1, 2015.
