Klippies is Jessica Sian's acclaimed coming-of-age drama about an unlikely friendship and the intensity of first love set in modern day Johannesburg, and AI is a new play by Genesis Fellow and Young Vic Associate Director Jennifer Tang and Company, created using a deep-learning system to generate human-like dialogue and script.

In an innovative producing model, devised in response to the pandemic, four brand new casts will take turns to journey through the multiverse exploring the infinite possibilities of a relationship; each refracting the play afresh.

A new online run of the Bush Theatre’s production Overflow will be presented by Bristol Old Vic from 6-8 May. Bristol theatre-maker and writer Travis Alabanza’s latest play was premiered and recorded at the Bush Theatre in Dec 2020, and stars Reece Lyons as Rosie.

When Rosie is confined and cornered into a flooding toilet cubicle, she is determined to rescue herself from the situation for once. Confronted by a lurking danger outside, she finds solace and tranquillity within the four walls of a space she has frequented many times. This particular bathroom may not be the most familiar, but the essence of it is. These places have become catalysts for new conversations, the forging of friendships and the hiding from enemies. Rosie has experienced a lot in them.

The Traverse Theatre are delivering a Festive Feast of shows, films and events to round off 2020 in their all year-round digital festival venue, Traverse 3, throughout December.

Today HighTide announced the first phase of its Inventing the Future programme, a range of initiatives to support the rebuilding of the arts sector in its current recovery phase and made possible by a grant of £78,000 from the Government's Cultural Recovery Fund.
