This popular and highly-anticipated festival of The Public's winter season will include artists from across the U.S. and around the world, including Australia, Chile, China, Japan, Mexico, Palestine, Taiwan, and the U.K. Curated by UTR Festival Director Mark Russell, this year's UNDER THE RADAR FESTIVAL continues to expand to venues throughout New York City, in addition to The Public Theater's home at Astor Place.
Eclipse Theatre and the Belgrade Theatre Coventry today announce full casting for their upcoming co-production of Janice Okoh's The Gift, the third show to emerge from Eclipse's groundbreaking Revolution Mix movement, which is spearheading the largest ever delivery of new Black British stories in theatre, film and radio. The Gift will premiere in Coventry from 18-25 January before embarking on a UK tour.

Eclipse Theatre Company open Tron Theatre's main house season this Autumn with Black Men Walking (5-7 September), the critically acclaimed production inspired by a real-life walking men's group in Sheffield. The first work staged as part of the Eclipse's ground-breaking 'Revolution Mix' movement, which is delivering the largest ever national programme of Black British stories produced and performed in UK theatres, Black Men Walking premiered at the Royal Exchange in Manchester in January 2018 before embarking on a sell-out run across thirteen venues in England and Wales.
In 2017, Young Vic Taking Part took the Young Vic's production of The Brothers Size, by Moonlight writer Tarell Alvin McCraney, into HMP Wandsworth. The workshops led by Liverpool-born playwright Luke Barnes and director Justin Audibert which followed resulted in a brand-new piece of theatre - The Jumper Factory - developed with eight Wandsworth prisoners.

Forced Entertainment have announced artist and performer Selina Thompson as the second recipient of the Forced Entertainment Award (in memory of Huw Chadbourn). Created in 2018, the award will recognise one artist (or company) a year until 2021 and comprises £10,000 closely linked to a substantial package of mentoring and subsidiary support tailored each time to the needs and situation of the selected artist or group. The recipient of the 2018 inaugural award was Glasgow-based artist Nic Green.
