New Victory Theater Presents HENRY V Feb. 27 - Mar. 8

Two Tony? Award Winning Companies - The Guthrie Theater of Minneapolis and New York's Acting Company - bring a stunning new production of Shakespeare's Henry V to The New Victory Theater from February 27 through March 8. Arizona Theatre Company's 2009 Season: KING HENRY V Begins Performances 3/26

King Henry V will be performed in Phoenix from March 26 thru 29, 2009 and in Phoenix from April 2 to 5, 2009. Young, restless and ambitious, Henry V inherits a troubled crown and seeks to secure his position at home by launching a hasty invasion of France. The charismatic warrior King?s aggressive pursuit of the French crown earns him iconic status, uniting England and France and briefly banishing the civil strife that will long outlive him. This Shakespearean epic expertly balances the thrilling heroics of battle with the painful and complex reactions of men who are sometimes unsure of the justice of their cause.

The Tony Award®-winning Old Globe presents the world premiere of Back Back Back, by Globe Playwright-in-Residence Itamar Moses (The Four of Us, Bach at Leipzig), directed by Davis McCallum, to run in the Globe's arena stage at the San Diego Museum of Art's James S. Presented by Diodati Productions, Villa Diodati has music by Mira J. Spektor, lyrics by Colette Inez, book by Colette Inez & Mira J. Spektor with additional lyrics by Byron, Shelley, Spektor & Wordsworth and will be directed by Rob Urbinati with musical direction by Thomas Carlo Bo. The John Houseman founded The Acting Company and the Minneapolis based Guthrie Theater, have announced a joint production and national tour of 'Henry V.' The play will be directed by Davis McCallum. 'Henry V' will tour in repertory with the world premiere of 'The Spy,' by James Fenimore Cooper.
