Theatre NOVA, Ann Arbor's professional theatre with an exclusive focus on new plays and playwrights, presents a new play written specifically for the Zoom format each month (January through April) with their PLAY OF THE MONTH series. “Mortal Fools” by Catherine Zudak, the third offering in the series, will be performed live on Zoom on Wednesday, March 31 at 8pm and available ON DEMAND for Series Pass holders through May.

In light of the continuing COVID-19 situation, the Governor's a?oeStay-at-Homea?? order, and in line with WHO and CDC guidance to limit the interaction of people in larger groups to diminish disease transmission, Theatre NOVA will postpone its production of a?oeRelativitya?? by Mark St. Germain. Originally scheduled to open on May 8, 2020, 'Relativitya?? will now be a part of the 2020-2021 Season, with an expected Spring 2021 production.

In light of the rapidly developing COVID-19 situation and in line with WHO and CDC guidance to limit the interaction of people in larger groups to diminish disease transmission, Theatre NOVA will postpone its production of 'Arabic to English' by David Wells, that was scheduled to open on March 20, 2020. 'Arabic to English will now run August 7 through August 30.

The Midwest premiere of Williston by Adam Seidel, playing now through June 30th at Detroit Repertory Theatre, is a fresh piece of theatre that successfully shines a light on the power of greed and money in modern day America. Three leasing reps travel to Williston, North Dakota to get mineral rights to the last big piece of undeveloped land. Leasing reps negotiate with land owners on behalf of oil companies about obtaining a lease to develop the land and typically operate on commissions which are a percentage of the leasing price.

Williamston Theatre Announces Giving Tuesday Event

Over the past several years, Giving Tuesday has evolved into a national effort to raise money for worthy causes in communities across the country. This year, the Williamston Theatre is honoring the support of its donors by presenting a full season's worth of play readings, all day long. On Tuesday, November 28 the Williamston Theatre will hold a marathon of staged readings of six plays. The event is free and open to the public.
