This latest contribution to the It Gets Better Campaign spotlights the dance community's unique culture of support for LGBT youth and growing political dynamism. It features a broad spectrum of community members-choreographers, dancers, dance writers, educators, and managers alike, including: Eva Yaa Asantewaa, Monica Bill Barnes and Anne Bass, Janis Brenner, Tim Cynova, Alberto Denis, Jennifer Edwards, David Harrison, Lane Harwell, Judi Huck, Jeffrey Kazin, Larry Keigwin, Marc Kirschner, Aaron Mattocks, Brian McCormick, Harold Norris, Emmanuel Obasuyi, David Parker, Stephen Petronio, Sydney Skybetter, Gus Solomons Jr, Ivan Sygoda, and Ian Archer-Watters.

Acclaimed actor/clown Susanna Hamnett stars in an award-winning, mischievous, family friendly adaptation of Shakespeare's usually grim King Lear that is a one-woman tour-de-force. 24th STreet Theatre presents the Los Angeles premiere of Canada's international touring production of Nearly Lear for a limited, four performance-only engagement today, October 19-21.

FOCUS 2013, a celebration of U.S.-based dance presented by Gotham Arts Exchange, introduces a new program and stage to its annual platform, FOCUS 2013: FOCAL POINT, comprised of three programs each curated by a different dance artist. FOCAL POINT will be presented on Friday, January 11 at 8pm; Saturday, January 12 at 4pm; and Sunday, January 13 at 4pm at The Ailey Citigroup Theater, 405 W. 55th Street, NYC.
