Joe's Pub at The Public Theater debuted in October 1998 and has quickly became one of New York City's most celebrated and in-demand showcase venues for live music and performance. 'Dance: Under the Influence,' a provocative program of dance works inspired by other art practices will debut in the intimate MAD Theater on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 and continue one Wednesday performance a month through May 18, 2011. The program is guest-curated by renowned arts writer, editor, and George Balanchine-biographer, Valerie Gladstone.

Performances continue at 7:30 PM on December 16, 17, 18,19, 20, 21and 22 at 7:30 PM. There will also be matinee performances at 2:00 PM on Saturday Dec. 18 and Sunday Dec. 19. After the opening night performance on December 15th, there will be a hot cocoa and cookie reception.
