Michigan's longest running, non-profit, professional theatre, the Detroit Repertory Theatre will hold its Annual Black Tie Awards Night and Homecoming Celebration and Performance on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 6:30 PM. The Black Tie is the Annual Major Fundraiser for the Theatre. Funds raised at the benefit go to the Theatre's Working Capitol Fund.

Featuring works by forty choreographers and their companies, the 2014 festival will be held over four evenings from today, September 3 to 6, with an encore performance on September 13. The exciting lineup of artists features many fan favorites, including festival veterans and returning artists, alongside rising stars and festival newcomers. 2014 marks the 19th annual season of the DANCENOW Festival.

This fall The Dance Complex renews and refreshes its commitment to bringing dance performance to its Central Square home through the Fall Performance Series at The Dance Complex. Continuing the company's aggressive repertory expansion that explores the range of the male dancer, the four performances feature two programs with works by Julie Bour, David Dorfman and Dan Froot, Doug Elkins, Tiffany Mills, David Parker, Claire Porter and Randy James. Tickets are $20 for General Seating, $15 for students, seniors, artists, and New York Live Arts Members.

The World Premiere comedy ENDANGERED SPECIES by Tom Baum, a play about a professor facing his worst nightmare - a student who takes his teachings seriously, will have its Champagne Opening tonight, May 29, 2014 at 8:30 PM at the Detroit Repertory Theatre. The playwright will be flying in to see the Premiere of his play. All are invited to meet the playwright, and after the performance, join in a Champagne toast with the playwright, cast and crew in the elegant lobby gallery of Michigan's oldest professional, Union theatre in the heart of Detroit.

Back in 1989, the Theater Offensive was started because the world needed a theatrical voice, a theater that BOLDLY put our lives out there-our varied roots, sexualities and genders. For 25 years, the group has vivaciously displayed its stories and has sculpted Boston into a hub for vibrant queer theater. They have a LOT to celebrate.

Randy James' all male dance company, 10 Hairy Legs, appears at Crossroads Theatre, New Brunswick on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 3:00 pm for its final New Jersey performance of its 2013-2014 season. The performance features all ten of the company members. The company is now double our size since our founding in 2012.
