Running through August 4, this classic musical explores the price of ignorance as the Nazi regime begins it's conquest of Europe.

The Night of a Thousand Gowns celebrating the LGBT community - the colorful cross-dressing segment of that community -took place on Saturday, March 31 in New York City. In its twenty-six year history, the Court has donated over a million dollars to worthy LGBT, HIV/AIDS and youth enrichment related causes. This year the Night of a Thousand Gowns raised important funds to benefit PFLAG NYC and New Alternatives. BWW was there to cover this event. Check out the red carpet photos below!

The Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) Awards recognize the extraordinary wealth of talent in the Boston theatre community, and this year's nominations have just been announced. IRNE Reviewers include among others David Brooks Andrews, Sheila Barth, Jules Becker, Kay Bourne, Beverly Creasey, Shirley Esthimer, Richard Fahey, Guy Giampapa, Norm Gross, Nancy Grossman, Bryce Lambert, Beatrice Lee, Kilian Melloy and Larry Stark.

Director Richmond Shepard has completed casting for the West Coast premiere of OSWALD. Andrew Perez* & P. David Miller* will star as Lee Harvey Oswald & Dallas Police Captain Will Fritz, in the drama byDennis Richard. OSWALD will preview at Write Act Repertory Theatre in Los Angeles on Friday, January 13, 2012, with the opening set for Saturday, January 14th & will run through February 18th.

Always edgy and never dull, Theatre Out--Orange County's Gay and Lesbian Theater company--has continually presented some interesting theater offerings since its remarkable debut in 2006. Its current production, a rambunctious revival of Andrew Lippa's topsy-turvy musical THE WILD PARTY, is no exception, as it corrals a huge pool of talents to tell the story of a bacchanal gone horribly, horribly awry. The show plays at the Empire Theatre in the Santa Ana Arts District through July 2.
