This Thursday, Sing for Hope (www.singforhope.org) will present its annual gala at 583 Park Avenue in New York City. The gala will raise awareness and support for Sing for Hope's programs that bring the arts to underserved schools, hospitals and communities.
The event will also raise funds for the 2012 return of Sing for Hope's Pop-Up Pianos, a public art installation that brings pianos to the parks and public spaces of New York City and embodies Sing for Hope's mission of making art available to all.

Sing for Hope's 2011 Gala will feature performances by leading Sing for Hope Volunteer Artists from New York's great stages; as well as students from Sing for Hope's Art U! education program, which brings much-needed arts curriculum to New York City school students. Cocktails will begin at 6:30 PM followed by the dinner and program at 7:30 PM. All proceeds  of the gala will support the charitable mission of Sing for Hope, which in the words of Sing for  Hope Board Member Renée Fleming, "is dedicated to bringing the healing power of art to those who need it most."

Committee members include Sara Bergson, Mike & Polly Brandmeyer, Ritu Chattree, Bal G. Das & Valerie Demont, Gaetana Enders, Renée Fleming, Judi Flom, Diane Von Furstenberg, Eva & Yoel Haller, William Haseltine, Deborra-lee & Hugh Jackman, David Miller & Jennifer Melin Miller, Pat Mitchell, Luis Moreno, Michael Pitman, Andy Sandberg, Joan & Barry Tucker, Billy Weisman, Muhammad Yunus.
