Huntington Theatre Company has received 35 IRNE Award nominations from the Independent Reviewers of New England, the most of any small or large theatre company in the region. The Committee recognized six of the eight productions the Huntington produced in 2012 with the following nominations.

Cleveland Play House will produce the hit Broadway comedy Good People, written by one of the most important new American playwrights. Nominated for a 2011 Tony Award for Best Play, Pulitzer Prize-winner David Lindsay-Abaire's Good People takes an affectionate look at the 'haves' and 'have-nots' through the eyes of characters who won't be ignored. Actress Kate Hodge returns to the CPH stage (Dinner with Friends, Bright Ideas) to play the tough-talking, blue-collar Margie Walsh, a role that won Frances McDormand a 2011 Tony Award for Best Actress. Also returning to the CPH stage to play Dottie, Margie's landlord, is actress Denny Dillon (Well), a Cleveland native and former CPH Curtain Puller. Directed by Laura Kepley, CPH Associate Artistic Director,Good People will run in the Allen Theatre at PlayhouseSquare starting Friday, March 22 through Sunday, April 14, 2013. The national tour of Shrek the Musical, currently playing at the Capitol Theatre, is a big, bright, beautiful show the whole family will absolutely love.

Performance Network Theatre extends the Pay-What-You-Can Thursday discount to all Thursday performances during the entire run of Good People. Curious Theatre Company has announced its 2013/14 Season. Including a World Premiere and three Regional Premieres, Season 16 introduces Denver audiences to the work of award-winning playwrights Amy Herzog and Matthew Lopez, and continues our long-standing artistic relationship with Denver-born playwright Steven Dietz.

The Country Playhouse will present Kimberly Akimbo by David Lindsay-Abaire in its Black Box venue for three weekends only, April 12 - 27. Performances are on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., with a Sunday matinee on April 21 at 2:00 p.m., plus a weeknight show on Thursday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m.

In keeping with their proud artistic tradition, Newnan Theatre Company once again tackles a difficult subject head on. This time, it's a family grieving over the loss of a child. David Lindsay-Abaire's 'Rabbit Hole' opens tonight, February 14 and runs through February 24. The play contains some mature language.

James Franco, star of the Disney fantastical adventure "Oz The Great and Powerful," which is scheduled for release on March 8, will serve as Grand Marshal for the 55th running of the Daytona 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, Feb. 24 at Daytona International Speedway.

Shrek The Musical, based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks film, brings the hilarious story of everyone's favorite ogre to life on stage. In a faraway kingdom turned upside down, things get ugly when an unseemly ogre - not a handsome prince - shows up to rescue a feisty princess. Shrek The Musical will be performed at Three Stages on Thursday, March 14, 7:30 pm; Friday, March 15, 8 pm; Saturday, March 16, 2 and 8 pm, and Sunday, March 16, 1:30 and 7 pm.
