The Kleban Foundation is pleased to announce that the 25th annual Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre lyricist has been awarded to Sam Willmott and the 25th annual Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre librettist has been awarded to Sam Carner. The 2015 prizes will be presented on Monday, June 22, 2015, in a private ceremony (by invitation only) hosted by ASCAP and BMI at ASCAP.

Everyone's favorite upside-down fairytale comes to Kettering when Playhouse South presents Shrek the Musical, a song-and dance-filled stage adaptation of the Oscar-winning DreamWorks animated film. Shrek the Musical opens May 8, 2015 and runs through May 17, 2015.

Whidbey Island Center for the Arts steps into the realm of one-act plays with its first ever 'One Act Fest Northwest,' featuring British playwright Peter Shaffer's 'Black Comedy.' The comedy will be the highlight of a festival that will also showcase a handful of published and original one-act plays. The festival is set for tonight, April 10 to 19, 2015.

Manhattan Theatre Club has just announced it will produce the New York premiere of Our Mother's Brief Affair, the new play by Tony Award winner Richard Greenberg, directed by MTC's award-winning Artistic Director Lynne Meadow, starring Tony and two-time Golden Globe Award winner Linda Lavin.

The multiple award-winning Echo Theater Company, named "Best Bet for Ballsy Original Plays" by the LA Weekly, continues its 2015 season with two Los Angeles premieres scheduled to run in repertory. FOR THE LAST TIME is a new jazz musical by celebrated writer/composer Nancy Harrow (Maya The Bee, This Side of Paradise), directed by Will Pomerantz (The Blue Flower) with music direction by Cody Owen Stine, will get an invite-only industry reading on March 13, 2015.

Director Seth Travaglino and his wonderful young cast bring the popular musical to life.

Square One Theatre Company, in Stratford, Connecticut, continues its 25th Anniversary Season with David Lindsay-Abaire's Good People, opening tonight, March 6 and continuing Todays, Saturdays and Sundays through March 21 (2015).
