Everyone's favorite bright green ogre comes to the Open Air Theatre stage when Shrek the Musical begins a two weekend run on Friday, September 25. Performances are Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7 pm and continue through Sunday, October 4, 2015. This production is presented through a generous donation from the Zannikos family.

Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of Ripcord, the new play by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire, directed by Tony and Emmy Award winner David Hyde Pierce, begins previews Tuesday, September 29, 2015 for a Tuesday, October 20, 2015 opening night at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street).

Single tickets are on sale today for Manhattan Theatre Club's three productions presented as part of the 2015-2016 season at New York City Center - Stage I: Ripcord, the world premiere comedy by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire, directed by Tony and Emmy Award winner David Hyde Pierce; Prodigal Son, the world premiere play written and directed by Tony Award, Pulitzer Prize and Academy Award winner John Patrick Shanley; and the American premiere of Incognito, the new play by Nick Payne, directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes.

Full Spectrum Theatre Company presents their flagship production RABBIT HOLE by David Lindsay-Abaire, directed by Maria Riboli, starring Suzie Cho*, Ashley Ford, Justin Hsu, Rebecca Smith and Amar Srivastava*.  This limited engagement run and Equity Approved Showcase will include 16 performances at the Davenport Theatre, 345 W 45th Street (btwn 8th & 9th Ave) in Manhattan's Theatre District, October 7th - 24th, 2015. Tickets are now on sale at www.smarttix.com

Lynne Meadow and Barry Grove have announced complete casting for Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of Ripcord, the new play by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire, directed by Tony and Emmy Award winner David Hyde Pierce.

For its second season, Refuge Theatre Project will continue its mission of showcasing the work of a new generation of musical theater writers. Company co-founders Ross and Morgan Glynn Egan announced today that the season will open with High Fidelity -- the musical based on Nick Hornby's 1995 novel and on Stephen Frears' 2000 feature-film adaptation that starred Chicago natives John Cusack, Joan Cusack and Lili Taylor.

Single tickets go on sale Aug. 17 for the exciting 2015-16 University of Colorado Boulder Department of Theatre & Dance season, kicking off Sept. 18 in the Irey Theatre with '[UN] W.R.A.P.: Undoing Writing, Research and Performance' -- a living archive of original and established dance solos created by prominent contemporary African-American choreographers; and Tennessee Williams' career-defining memory play, "The Glass Menagerie," on Sept. 25 in the University Theatre.

The Kleban Foundation is pleased to announce that the 25th annual Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre lyricist has been awarded to Sam Willmott and the 25th annual Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre librettist has been awarded to Sam Carner. The 2015 prizes will be presented today, June 22, 2015, in a private ceremony (by invitation only) hosted by ASCAP and BMI at ASCAP.

Everyone's favorite upside-down fairytale comes to Bill Hanney's award-winning North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) when they present SHREK The Musical, a song-and dance-filled stage adaptation of the Oscar-winning DreamWorks animated film. The world of fairytales will be turned upside down in an all singing, all dancing, and irresistible mix of adventure, laughter and romance beginning Tuesday, July 7, playing thru Sunday, July 19. Press night is scheduled for Wednesday, July 8 at 7:30 pm

Geffen Playhouse welcomes Ari Brand (Broadway The Neil Simon Plays; Off-Broadway My Name is Asher Lev), Molly Ephraim (ABC's Last Man Standing, Broadway Into the Woods, Fiddler on the Roof; film Paranormal Activity), Lili Fuller (Hulu's Complete Works) and Raviv Ullman (Off-Broadway Sticks and Bones, title character in Disney's Phil of the Future) as the cast for its West Coast premiere production of Bad Jews by Joshua Harmon, directed by Matt Shakman, who is the artistic director of the Black Dahlia Theatre, a Geffen playhouse alumni (Good People, Wait Until Dark) and a noted television director (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Mad Men).
