Milwaukee Repertory Theater continues their 2014/15 Quadracci Powerhouse Season with Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire's powerful award-winning play Good People. This recent Tony-nominated Broadway hit explores complex social questions about class, luck, and escaping our roots with electric energy and razor sharp humor. The cast for Good People includes Associate Artist Laura Gordon in the title role, Milwaukee actress Tami Workentin, guest actors Bernard Balbot, Michael Elich, and Laura T. Fisher, all making their Rep debuts, and Artistic Intern Ensemble Member Jennifer Latimore. Directed by renowned director Kate Buckley, the production runs January 20 - February 15, 2015 and opens on Friday, January 23.

Asolo Rep's 2014-15 season continues with GOOD PEOPLE, David Lindsay-Abaire's 2011 Tony nominated play that cracks open the gritty world of the blue collar worker to reveal America's often rigid social strata. Academy Award-winning actress Frances McDormand received a Tony Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of the play's central character, Margie Walsh, in 2011. This sharp comedy-infused drama opens Friday, January 16, 2015 at 8pm, with previews Wednesday, January 14 and Thursday, January 15 at 8pm. Pat Ciamacco, artistic director at Blank Canvas, has a 'thing' for off-beat musicals. Sure, he produced 'Hair' and 'Godspell,' but it's more likely that what you'll see mounted on his stage are 'Beach Blanket Party,' 'Debbie Does Dallas,' and 'Texas Chainsaw Musical.' I'm surprised he's missed out on 'Bullshot Crummond,' 'Dance of the Vampires,' 'Expresso Bongo,' 'Hands on a Hard Body, and, of course, 'The Rocky Horror Show.'

Arena Stage Presents OUR WAR Monologue Readings Tonight

The monologues will be read at a public reading tonight, November 6, 2014 following the 8:00 p.m. performance. The writers will also receive a session with American Voices New Play Institute Dramaturg Jocelyn Clarke, a listing in the Our War program and an award certificate. The finished monologues along with video clips of the performed monologues will be posted on Arena Stage's website and shared via social media. Directed by Anita Maynard-Losh, Our War runs October 21 - November 9, 2014 in the Arlene and Robert Kogod Cradle.
