The Ware Center and The Winter Center present a variety of performances this week. Check out the full list below!

The Newstead Trio returns to the Ware Center with a program to honor Women's History Month. The Newstead Trio includes Michael Jamanis (violin), Sale Male (cello), Xun Pan (piano). Their performance will be comprised of works by three prominent women composers representing three different centuries, the 19th , 20th and 21st. The Ware Center is located at 42 N. Prince Street in Lancaster City.

The program will include works by Rebecca Clarke (1886-1979), Tina Davidson, and Clara Schumann (1819-1896). Tremble, composed by Tina Davidson for violin, cello and piano, was written for the Astral Foundation and the American Philosophical Society in honor of the composer's late father, Britton Chance. An important scientist and sailor, he continued his research until he died at 97. He never lost his passion for his work, or his reverence for the things yet unknown or seen. The composer comments, "We shiver in delight or quake in fear. We shake in anger or pulse in love. We tremble in the act of knowing and not knowing."
