Principal Pops Conductor Michael Feinstein opens the 2018 Pasadena POPS Sierra Summer Concert Series on Saturday, June 23rd with That's Entertainment: Gershwin to Sondheim. The POPS season opener will cover the gamut of the Great American Songbook from jazz standards to Broadway hits, and vintage charts that can't be heard anywhere else. Hear your Broadway favorites from Porgy and Bess and An American in Paris to Company and Follies, plus popular standards and vintage archival surprises with Nice Work if You Can Get It, S'Wonderful, and Being Alive just to name a few.

Comedy Central announced today that it has ordered Stupid Questions with Chris Distefano, a weekly interstitial series created to intertwine Comedy Central's stand-up world premieres with its deep archive of classics during the network's stand-up heavy Friday nights. Stupid Questions premieres on Friday, June 1, with host Chris Distefano joined by guest Nikki Glaser. Glaser is host of You Up w/ Nikki Glaser on SiriusXM's Comedy Central Radio.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts will present the 21st annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor to Julia Louis-Dreyfus on Sunday, October 21, 2018 in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall. The Prize, which is named to honor one of the world's greatest humorists, will be given at a gala performance featuring some of the biggest names in comedy. This year's ceremony marks the 21st consecutive year that the Kennedy Center's marquee comedy award will be presented and broadcast nationally. On-sale and ticketing information for this event will be available at a later date, and sponsorship packages for the Mark Twain Prize gala performance are on sale now.

In a first look at Howard Stern's episode of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman, premiering on May 31st, Stern recalls how President Trump's candor always made him a great guest. In the interview, they also discuss Stern's childhood, how both of their careers had an affect on their personal lives, and of course, Letterman's beard.

Directed by Anderson Davis, the evening will kick off with a Jazz showcase from exceptional artists including Spencer Day, Olivia Kuper Harris, Myles Nuzzi and Dylan Meek and will be followed by Taylor's collection of modernistic tracks inspired by mid-century jazz standards.

Comedian and I'M DYING UP HERE star Erik Griffin returns for his second SHOWTIME comedy special ERIK GRIFFIN: AMERIKAN WARRIOR, premiering Friday, June 8 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Filmed at the Star Theater in Portland, Oregon, the new hour-long special flips convention on its ear with Griffin deconstructing everything from social norms, personal responsibility and lazy protesting to the righteously religious and the female renaissance, all while skewering his own sense of male entitlement. 

The Center for Ballet and the Arts at New York University (CBA), the first international institute devoted to the creation and academic study of ballet, today announced the 27 artists and scholars who will serve as CBA Fellows in the 2018-19 academic year. The group - which represents The Center's largest and most far-reaching cohort yet - features distinguished individuals in a range of disciplines, including scholar Cecile Feza Bushidi, lighting designer Brandon Stirling Baker, choreographer Chase Brock, choreographer, filmmaker, and dancer Pontus Lidberg, and scholar Janice Ross, among others.
