This Fall, The Iridium will showcase the songwriters and session musicians behind the biggest rock and pop anthems of all-time. Kicking off “Legends in Session” September 25-27 will be guitarist Paul Gilbert of Mr. Big; multi-Platinum selling recording artist and seven-time Grammy nominee Joan Osborne on September 28 & 29; The Edgar Winter Band on October 5 & 6, Carl Palmer playing the best of Emerson, Lake & Palmer on October 21-23, ZZ Top's Billy F Gibbons on October 30 & 31, and Richie Kotzen of The Winery Dogs and Poison on November 2-4.

Grammy Award-winner and two-time Emmy nominee Steve Tyrell celebrates his 14th anniversary performing in the Cafe Carlyle's revered holiday slot with an all-new show, Holidays at the Carlyle, November 27-December 31. Holidays at the Carlyle will feature selections from Steve Tyrell's newly expanded Back to Bacharach album, his 2018 #1 album, A Song For You, as well as various favorites from the Great American Songbook including songs he has performed in major motion pictures, and of course, holiday classics.

Buffalo Theatre Ensemble (BTE), the professional Equity company in residence at the McAninch Arts Center, 425 Fawell Blvd. on the campus of College of DuPage (COD) opens its 2018-2019 season with "The Dingdong, or How the French Kiss," a new adaptation by Mark Shanahan from "Le Dindon" by Georges Feydeau. Five actors play 13 roles in this bubbly, fast-paced adaptation of Feydeau's classic directed by BTE Artistic Director Connie Canaday Howard, where opening the wrong door can lead to mayhem, giggles and ultimately some unexpected understandings of a happy marriage. The play runs Sept. 6-Oct. 7. There will be a preview Sept. 6. Press opening is Friday, Sept. 7.

The Kennedy Center today unveiled an all-star lineup and new producers for the 21st annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, which this year will celebrate Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Under the direction of the creative team from Done + Dusted, the Kennedy Center's new producing partner for the Mark Twain Prize, the cast will feature many of Louis-Dreyfus's admirers, friends, and collaborators, including Stephen Colbert, Bryan Cranston, Tina Fey, Ilana Glazer, Tony Hale, Abbi Jacobson, Keegan-Michael Key, Kumail Nanjiani, and Jerry Seinfeld. The live Gala Performance will take place on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. ET in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall, and will be taped by WETA Washington, D.C.
