Theater Resources Unlimited will establish a new TRU scholarship fund at its annual TRU Love Benefit this November 4th at Caroline's on Broadway. Honorees at the benefit this year will be Baayork Lee and the National Asian Artists Project (NAAP) receiving the TRU Spirit of Theater Award, and John Chatterton and the Midtown International Theatre Festival (MITF) receiving the TRU Entrepreneur Award. The scholarship fund will be open to any candidates demonstrating financial need, and will include annual worthy candidates submitted by both NAAP and MITF.
In April 2018, hit West End show, Bat Out Of Hell - The Musical, announced a wide-ranging global partnership with the Invictus Games Foundation, the governing body of the Invictus Games. The producers are now delighted to be able to announce a special Gala Performance of the musical in support of the Invictus Games Foundation on Thursday 6 December 2018.
Bat Out Of Hell - The Musical's lead Andrew Polec, who plays the character of 'forever young' Strat, is leaving the West End production of the show. Polec, who won the 'Joe Allen Best West End Debut' in the Stage Debut Awards 2017 for his performance as Strat, has been involved in the show since the beginning. He commented:
The producers of Jim Steinman's Bat Out Of Hell - The Musical have announced five special performances when the audience will be able to sing along with the cast to the classic hits. These performances will take place on Tuesday 28 August, Tuesday 25 September, Wednesday 31 October, Tuesday 27 November and Monday 31 December. On Halloween (31 October) and New Year's Eve (31 December), the audiences will also have the option to come dressed as their favourite character from the show or from one of Meat Loaf's iconic videos. The best dressed audience member on each night will go home that evening with a Bat Out Hell - The Musical poster signed by Meat Loaf himself.
Jim Steinman's Bat Out Of Hell - The Musical will be extending into 2019, with a new booking period at the Dominion Theatre from 27 October 2018 to 5 January 2019 going on sale at 12.00noon today, Thursday 26 July 2918. The winner of the Evening Standard Radio 2 Audience Award for Best Musical 2017 began previews at the Dominion Theatre on Monday 2 April, with a gala performance on 19 April 2018.

The 'Singular Sensation' will be kicking off the 2018 season at The Gateway - A Chorus Line, on stage opening May 11th through May 26th, Previews begin May 9th.
