 First Folio Theatre presents A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM as part of its annual outdoor Shakespeare Under the Stars series, which opened Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 8:15 p.m., and runs through August 14, 2016. Shakespeare's magical story about the difficulties of love is directed by Hayley Rice and produced by David Rice, author ofThe Madness of Edgar Allan Poe and composer, adaptor and lyricist of Shakespeare's Cymbeline: A Folk Tale with Music.

Shakespeare's magical story about the difficulties of love is directed by Jeff Award-nominee Alison C. Vesely and produced by David Rice, author of The Madness of Edgar Allan Poe and composer, adaptor and lyricist of Shakespeare's Cymbeline: A Folk Tale with Music.

Lynne Meadow and Barry Grove have announced two added weeks of performances for Incognito, the American premiere of the new play written by Nick Payne (Constellations) and directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes (The Father, Doubt, Outside Mullingar), which opened last Tuesday, May 24 to rave reviews at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street). The limited engagement will now play through Sunday, July 10.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts has announced the July, August, and September lineup for the 2016 Comedy Club. Monday nights at 8 pm. New Rochelle Opera, Weschester's longest running opera company, will present its first ever staged production of Giuseppe Verdi's IL TROVATORE from June 23-26, 2016 in the Frank J. Auriana Theatre at the Ursuline School, 1345 North Avenue, New Rochelle, NY. Company co-founder and artistic director Camille Coppola will direct the local premiere, with orchestra and chorus conducted by Gregory Ortega. The production will feature the use of English supertitles to translate the Italian text.

1972: Dr. John Fryer dons an oversize tuxedo and rubber joke shop mask to become Dr. Henry Anonymous and confront the American Psychiatric Association with these words: 'I am a homosexual, I am a psychiatrist.' The latest work by renowned theatre artist Ain Gordon, 217 Boxes of Dr. Henry Anonymous, is a new play drawn from the 217 boxes of archive materials from national LGBT activist of Dr. John Fryer discovered by Ain Gordon during his two-year embedded artist status at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania (HSP). This new work is set to run, May 5-7, at the Painted Bride Arts Center, 230 Vine Street. All performances are at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $20. The Wendy Osserman Dance Company celebrates its 40th Anniversary season this week, with four performances, featuring set designed by artiist Sanya Kantarovsky, running April 20 - 23, 2016 at 8 pm. Presented by the Theater for the New City (155 1st Avenue), the season features two world premieres with live music by Skip La Plante and Harry Mann, and Osserman's Udjat (1985).

Transcendence Theatre Company, producer of the Broadway Under the Stars in Jack London State Historic Park concert series, announced the company of artists who will appear during the 2015 series of shows running tonight, June 19 through September 13. From June through September on select weekends, visitors to Sonoma County can conclude a day of wine tasting by attending Broadway Under the Stars, the main stage musical concert series presented by Transcendence Theatre Company in the open-air Winery Ruins of Jack London State Historic Park.
