Soho Theatre has announced the appointment of Farzana Baduel to its Board of Trustees, as the organisation continues to deliver its ambitious growth programme.

Putting pen to paper for curious theatre minds, director Nancy Meckler has reflected on her extensive experience in Notes From the Rehearsal Room: A Director’s Process, published by Methuen Drama in February this year. Creative Women New York will present the world premiere of 'Spin Off' by Bernard Pomerance, author of 'The Elephant Man,' in a production directed by Ron Canada from September 21 to October 13 at The Riverside Theatre, 91 Claremont Avenue.

Bernard Pomerance, the American playwright and poet who wrote the Tony Award winning play The Elephant Man, died at his home in Galisteo, New Mexico on the morning of Saturday, August 26, 2017.

USA Network today greenlit a new original half hour comedy pilot with an order for DIVIDE & CONQUER from executive producer and writer Peter Ocko (FAIRLY LEGAL, "The Office," "Pushing Daisies"). The news comes on the heels of the network's first comedy series pickups for SIRENS and PLAYING HOUSE and a pilot order for LOVE IS DEAD. The network's first original comedies are slated to premiere in first quarter 2014, following the launch of the award-winning and top-rated comedy MODERN FAMILY, on USA on Tuesday, September 24 at 8/7c.

USA Network today greenlit its first original half-hour comedies, with series orders for SIRENS from Denis Leary ('Rescue Me') and Bob Fisher ('Wedding Crashers') and PLAYING HOUSE from Jessica St. Clair ('Bridesmaids,' 'Best Friends Forever') and Lennon Parham ('Best Friends Forever,' 'Accidentally On Purpose').

Focus Features' Hyde Park on Hudson is available on Blu-ray Combo Pack with UltraViolet, on DVD and On Demand on April 9, 2013, from Universal Studios Home Entertainment; and is available on Digital Download beginning March 26, 2013.

Leary will co-write with Fisher ('Wedding Crashers,' 'Traffic Light'), and both will executive produce the series along with Jim Serpico ('Rescue Me'), and Hal Vogel and David Aukin ('Hyde Park on the Hudson,' End Game,' 'The Promise') of Daybreak Pictures. Apostle and Fox Television Studios will produce in conjunction with Daybreak Pictures. The pilot, set to shoot in Chicago later this month, will be directed by Victor Nelli ( 'Happy Endings,' 'Wilfred,' 'Ugly Betty,' 'Scrubs'), who will also executive produce.

Denis Leary has signed on to develop and co-write a half-hour pilot, an adaptation of the highly anticipated British Channel 4 television series 'Sirens,' which follows the humorous antics and dramatic conflicts of young paramedics, it was announced today by Bill McGoldrick, senior vice president, original scripted programming, USA.
