The Guerrilla Shakespeare Project presents AND TO THE REPUBLIC, a modern political thriller created and inspired by reconstructing Shakespeare's famous Roman plays - Julius Caesar, Antony & Cleopatra, and Coriolanus - like never seen before. Directed by Geordie Broadwater (Brack's Last Bachelor Party, You May Go Now). AND TO THE REPUBLIC officially opens tonight, May 24, 2014 at the WorkShop's Main Stage (312 West 36th Street, 4th Floor) and runs through Saturday, June 7, 2014.

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra announces the subject matter of the upcoming works to receive their world premieres by the Orchestra as part of the groundbreaking artistic collaboration with the MusicNOW Festival and Artistic Director Bryce Dessner. On Today, March 21, the Orchestra, under the direction of Music Director Louis Langrée, will premiere Nico Muhly's Pleasure Ground, a portrait work depicting the life of landscape architect Frederick Law Olmstead. On Saturday, March 22, Mr. Langrée and the CSO will premiere mountain, a new work by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lang depicting the life of American composer Aaron Copland.

Playwrights Theatre and Drew University will present a free reading of UNKEMPT by Becca Schlossberg at the Dorothy Young Arts Center at Drew University, 36 Madison Avenue, Madison, NJ. The reading will begin at 6:30pm on March 18, 2014, and will be followed by a discussion with the playwright. This reading is a joint presentation of Playwrights Theatre's FORUM new play reading series and the Drew University Theatre Arts Department Plays In Process Series. From today, June 23 to June 29, 14 emerging professional songwriters will participate in The Johnny Mercer Foundation Songwriters Project at Northwestern University -- an intensive weeklong program on the Evanston campus that has produced 2013 Tony Award-nominated songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (nominated for 'A Christmas Story, The Musical'), Fred Ebb Award-winner Sam Willmot, and Latin Grammy Award-winners Obed Bermudez and Jennifer Pena.
