The New York Premiere of John Patrick Bray's critically acclaimed new play, Friendly's Fire, opened on May 3 at the Theater at the 14th Street Y. The critically acclaimed play is produced by the award-winning Rising Sun Performance Company (RSPC), under the direction of Founding Artistic Director Akia Squitieri. Associate Artistic Director Anna directs.

Agatha Christie, the 'Queen of Crime,' was a British writer of murder mysteries, noted for creating plays, books and short stories. They not only contained intriguing plot twists, which centered on scandalous murders, elaborate twists and turns, but revealed basic 'truths' that are not what they seem.

Great Lakes Theater (GLT), Cleveland's Classic Company, commences the second half its 2018-19 season with Agatha Christie's gripping courtroom thriller, Witness for the Prosecution. The production will be performed in the company's intimate and audience-friendly home at the Hanna Theatre, Playhouse Square, February 15 - March 10, 2019.Great Lakes Theater's own Producing Artistic Director, Charles Fee, directs the production.

The American Shakespeare Center (ASC) Winter Season: The Actors' Renaissance began previews this past weekend of The Merry Wives of Windsor and Henry IV, Part 1.

Blue Note Hawaii is kicking off 2019 with some of music and comedy's biggest names. G. Love will get you in the partying mood, followed by two rounds of comedy with Patton Oswalt and Gary Owen. Swing kings Big Bad Voodoo Daddy return, Anthony David performs the music of Bill Withers and guitar phenom Jonny Lang performs for four nights. Singer-songwriter Joshua Radin makes his Blue Note debut. The Beach Boys' Al Jardine is sure to please crowds, '90s R&B supergroup All-4-One perform for three nights and John Sebastian from the Lovin' Spoonful will take you down memory lane. Local artists include Tim Rose in his "Aloha for Now" show, the incomparable Willie K, reggae artist Sister Nancy, the exciting Dae Han Quintet, local favorites Good Foot Hawaii and Punahou alum Willy Falk.

Organizers of the KeyBank Rochester Fringe Festival announce that the 2019 Fringe will open on Tuesday, September 10 and run through Saturday, September 21. This extends the annual multi-arts festival to 12 days, following 2018's extension from 10 to 11 days.

The American Shakespeare Center (ASC) began its 30th Anniversary Artistic Year with the launch of the 2018 Summer/Fall Season and a performance of As You Like It on June 13. The Taos Opera Institute (TOI) will host the eleventh Taos Opera Institute Festival this year, June 7 - 30. The festival will feature two performance groups, the TOI Singers and the Cantos de Taos Quartet performing 19 free classical music performances in Taos County, Los Alamos and Santa Fe. These events are free and open to the public.

The American Shakespeare Center (ASC) begins its annual Actors' Renaissance Season with performances of Hamlet and Richard II on January 19. The Actors' Renaissance Season is the ASC's experiment into what Elizabethan and Jacobean rehearsal conditions might have been and features a troupe of veteran ASC actors who design the productions and conduct rehearsals without a formal director.
