LCT3, Lincoln Center Theater's programming initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists and developing new audiences, has announced two new productions which will open in 2013: Luck of the Irish, a new play by Kirsten Greenidge, to be directed by Rebecca Taichman and A Kid Like Jake by Daniel Pearle, to be directed by Evan Cabnet. Luck of the Irish will run from Monday, January 28 through Sunday, March 10 (opening on Monday, February 11) and A Kid Like Jake will run from Sunday, June 2 through Sunday, July 14 (opening on Monday, June 17), both at the Claire Tow Theater (150 West 65 Street).

Cambridge, Mass -American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) has scheduled American Sign Language (ASL) interpreted performances and Audio Described performances for productions during the A.R.T.'s 2012-13 Season at the Loeb Drama Center.

Today, as Berkeley Repertory Theatre holds its final rehearsal for the West Coast premiere of Chinglishand prepares this production for a trip to Hong Kong, the show's celebrated author has earned another honor. The Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust announced this morning that David Henry Hwang will receive the Steinberg Distinguished Playwright Award, a biennial prize that recognizes and encourages the artistic excellence and achievement of an American playwright whose body of work has made significant contributions to the American theatre.

he American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) has announced additional casting information for David Adjmi's new play, Marie Antoinette, directed by Rebecca Taichman, with choreography by Karole Armitage, in a co-production with Yale Repertory Theatre. Marie Antoinette begins previews on Saturday, September 1, and runs through Saturday, September 29, with press opening on Friday, September 7 at 7:30pm.

David Adjmi 's new play 3C, which recently closed at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, has been under a lot of scrutiny recently, after 'Three's Company' lawyers accused the show of infringing on copyright laws. Dramatists Guild president Stephen Schwartz released the following statement on the issue:

Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co. in association with Illinois State University School of Theatre present a new adaptation of Electra by Euripides. Adapted and directed by Sonja Moser and performed by an ensemble of 17 Illinois State University undergrads. Electra opens tonight, July 6th and runs thru July 29th, 2012. Performances are Friday & Saturday at 8 PM plus Saturday & Sundays at 3 PM. Tickets are $20. (Parking is available at the Mobil gas station across from the theater for a fee.)

The Claire Tow Theater, its newest stage at Lincoln Center, opened with the LCT3 world premiere production of SLOWGIRL, a new play by Greg Pierce. Generous Company's WordBRIDGE Playwrights Laboratory celebrates its 16th birthday at CENTERSTAGE in June 2012, and welcomes six playwrights to the 2012 Lab. The playwrights and plays selected to join a community of more than 60 artists from across the country to develop their work in Baltimore from today, June 9th through June 23rd are:

Lisa D'Amour's play Detroit premiered at Steppenwolf Theatre in 2010, directed by Austin Pendleton, and was scheduled to open on Broadway in the 2011/12 season.
