Dallas Black Dance Theatre, the oldest and largest continuously operating professional dance company in Dallas, makes its Jacob's Pillow debut in the sixth week of Festival 2021 on the Henry J. Leir Stage.

In its return to indoor performances in New York City, American Ballet Theatre will present the 2021 Fall season at the David H. Koch Theater, October 20-31, 2021. 

The Public Theater has cancelled tonight's performance of Shakespeare in the Park's Merry Wives due to a positive Covid-19 test within the company.

The Public Theater has just announced that in-person standby tickets are back for Shakespeare in the Park starting today, July 20.

BroadwayWorld has learned that the Public Theater has postponed opening night of the return of Shakespeare in the Park. Jacob Ming-Trent, who plays Falstaff in Merry Wives, sustained an injury onstage during a recent performance. Opening night will now be on August 9 to 'support his full recovery.'

Free Shakespeare in the Park's production of MERRY WIVES at The Delacorte Theater will run through Saturday, September 18, with an official opening on Tuesday, July 27. The play is adapted by Jocelyn Bioh and directed by Saheem Ali. 

America’s National Ballet Company will take to the road this summer, traveling by bus and truck to 8 U.S. cities and arriving in New York on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. The tour concludes with two performances on the plaza at Rockefeller Center, the site where Ballet Theatre offered its first public performances in 1940.  

Repertory for ABT Across America will feature Lauren Lovette’s La Follia Variations, a work for eight dancers set to music by Francesco Geminiani, Jessica Lang’s Let Me Sing Forevermore, a pas de deux blending ballet and jazz vocabulary set to songs sung by Tony Bennett, Darrell Grand Moultrie’s Indestructible Light, and more!

Five of New York City’s most acclaimed dance companies—Ballet Hispánico, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, and Dance Theatre of Harlem—will perform on the same stage at the first BAAND Together Dance Festival in Damrosch Park as part of Restart Stages.

The Public Theater announced today that Free Shakespeare in the Park will return this summer with the delightful comedy MERRY WIVES, adapted by award-winning Jocelyn Bioh and directed by Associate Artistic Director and Resident Director Saheem Ali.

The Fire Island Dance Festival and Hudson Valley Dance Festival, two of the most-anticipated annual charitable celebrations of dance, will take a hiatus this year due to ongoing challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts and American Ballet Theatre have completed an exciting new artistic collaboration titled UNITING IN MOVEMENT, during which 18 dancers and the artistic staff of ABT developed and rehearsed three works that culminated in an exhilarating live performance in Segerstrom Hall and which can be streamed on demand from May 12 – 26.

Jacob’s Pillow has announced the full artist line-up for its 2021 summer Festival—the first to feature both onsite and online programming. Onsite events run June 30-August 29, with online streaming through September 23.

ABT, America's National Ballet Company, has been in residence at the Center since March 22, rehearsing this new program that will receive its world premiere before a live audience on Sunday, April 25 in Segerstrom Hall, followed by streaming on demand from May 12 – 26.

Kevin McKenzie today announced his retirement as Artistic Director of American Ballet Theatre at the end of 2022, following three decades of leadership. He will oversee ABT’s creation of new works and performances throughout 2021 and 2022, ensuring ABT’s vitality and artistic integrity, while working with the Board of Governing Trustees to provide a seamless transition to the Company’s next Artistic Director.
