This spring, SHOWTIME will bid farewell to one of its signature series with the premiere of NURSE JACKIE's final season tonight, April 12th at 9 P.M. ET/PT, followed by the highly-anticipated second season of the hit drama series PENNY DREADFUL on Sunday, April 26th at 10 P.M. ET/PT.

Today, Showtime announced its 2015 Spring Programming, which includes the seventh and final season of NURSE JACKIE, the new series HAPPY and the return of PENNY DREADFUL.

National Theatre of Great Britain's production of Euripides' Greek tragedy MEDEA, in a new version by Ben Power, directed by Carrie Cracknell and starring Helen McCrory in the title role, is currently playing at the Olivier Theatre.

As PENNY DREADFUL makes its San Diego Comic-Con debut, SHOWTIME will host autograph signings featuring cast members Josh Hartnett, Reeve Carney, Harry Treadaway, and creator and executive producer John Logan on Thursday, July 24th and Friday, July 25th. This marks the series' first trip to the world-famous gathering in San Diego. A special package of PENNY DREADFUL-inspired tarot cards will be given to all fans who attend the panel session. SHOWTIME has picked up a second season of its critically acclaimed drama series PENNY DREADFUL

From three-time Oscar(R) nominee John Logan, the Showtime drama series Penny Dreadful debuted to 1.443 million viewers last night, besting the series premieres of recent network dramas Homeland and Masters of Sex by five percent (both delivered 1.38 million) in their first seasons. The series premiere of Penny Dreadful drew 872,000 at 10 p.m.

SHOWTIME will be available to 74 million households during a Free Preview Weekend this Friday, May 9 through Sunday, May 11. Viewers nationwide will be able to sample the network's award-winning programming on SHOWTIME, SHOWTIME On Demand(R), SHOWTIME ANYTIME(R) and on a number of participating distributors' TV Everywhere portals. The Free Preview weekend will include the series premiere of the new drama series PENNY DREADFUL, as well as new episodes of the critically-acclaimed hit series NURSE JACKIE and CALIFORNICATION, the premium television premiere of Scary Movie 5, and the premiere of Floyd Mayweather vs. Marcos Maidana, the thrilling 12-round welterweight world championship unification bout from Saturday, May 3.
