This month's Queer Not Cool focuses on 'Origin Stories' and is hosted by stand-up comedian David Smithyman and features pop and musical theater offerings from Danny Baird, Zachary Infante and 'darling of the downtown cabaret scene' John C. Hume, with a special solo hip-hop performance by Coco Dame, lead MC of the potty mouthed twee rappers Menya. Brought to you by Femme Fatale Theater. Queer Not Cool will take place at The Secret Theatre (4402 23rd St, Long Island City, Queens NY) on Saturday May 5th at 10:30pm. Admission is $10. Femme Fatale Theater's irreverent and erotic new production of Oscar Wilde's SALOME features an all-male cast, exploring unrequited lust and sexual taboos through a darkly comic queer aesthetic. This wickedly funny tale of sex, death, and head follows Salome, the spoiled step-daughter of Herod, ruler of Judea, and her quest to obtain the affections of a feared prophet by any means necessary, including her infamous Dance of the Seven Veils.
