In Broadway by Design, BroadwayWorld is shining a spotlight on the stellar designs of this Broadway season, show by show. Today, we continue the series with Scott Pask, Christopher Ash, and Jane Greenwood, who acted as scenic, projection and costume designers for MTC's epic Broadway revival of Saint Joan.

The title character of George Bernard Shaw's Saint Joan was burned at the stake nearly 500 years before the play premiered at Broadway's Garrick Theatre in December of 1923, but for many viewers there may have been a sense of topicality to the proceedings.

'I feel so liberated,' said Condola Rashad following her opening night bow in Saint Joan. 'Stepping into this particular character's shoes has really done something for me as a person, not just as an actor.'

Friedman Theatre is Manhattan Theatre Club's new Broadway production of Saint Joan, written by Nobel Prize in Literature and Academy Award winner Bernard Shaw and directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan (Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes, Proof). Starring three-time Tony Award nominee Condola Rashad (A Doll's House, Part 2; 'Billions'), Saint Joan will open on Wednesday, April 25, 2018.

Manhattan Theatre Club will soon present the new Broadway production of Saint Joan, written by Nobel Prize in Literature and Academy Award winner Bernard Shaw and directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan (Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes, Proof), starring three-time Tony Award nominee Condola Rashad (A Doll's House, Part 2; 'Billions'). Saint Joan will begin previews Tuesday, April 3, 2018 ahead of a Wednesday, April 25, 2018 opening night at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street).

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) in association with Eddie Marks/Ostar have just announced the principal cast for Manhattan Theatre Club's new Broadway production of Saint Joan written by Nobel Prize in Literature and Academy Award winnerBernard Shaw and directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan (Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes, Proof), starring three-time Tony Award nominee Condola Rashad (A Doll's House, Part 2; 'Billions').

Mark A. Schlegel, aged 57, a longtime resident of Oradell, NJ passed away on Sunday, August 13th. Born in Peoria, Illinois, Mark graduated from Plymouth High School in Indiana, and received a communications degree from DePauw University in 1981.

According to Variety, ABC has cut its original 13-episode order for its new drama series NOTORIOUS to 10 episodes. As of now, the series has not been cancelled.  

On the next episode of ABC's NOTORIOUS titled "The Perp Walk", as Sarah’s funeral approaches, Jake’s feelings may be clouding his ability to defend and protect an out-of-control Oscar from the press.
