ABC Unveils 2016-17 Programming Slate Including Nine New Series

ABC continues its commitment to distinctive storytelling with the announcement of its 2016-17 slate of programming, including the addition of nine new series. Channing Dungey, president, ABC Entertainment, will unveil the network's new lineup to the advertising and media communities this afternoon at Lincoln Center's David Geffen Hall, in New York City.

BWW Interviews: Ryan J-W Smith and his Fringe Favorite, LOVE LABOURS WON

Shakespeare was a clear favorite this year at the 2015 Hollywood Fringe Festival. Among the award-winning productions was Ryan J. Smith's LOVE LABOURS WON, which received two fringe awards: The International Award and an Encore Producers' Award. Back by popular demand, the show has extended through August 6th and will play Thursday nights at 8pm in the Dorie Theatre. Is it a sequel to Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost like the title might imply? I asked Ryan to tell us about the play, which sounds delightful.

LOVE LABOURS WON Takes Home Two Hollywood Fringe Awards

Written, directed by and starring, Ryan J-W Smith, Love Labours Won not only won the Hollywood Fringe Festival's highly coveted International Award, it also won an Encore! Producers' Award. As such, Rogue Shakespeare® is delighted to announce the unlimited extension of the U.S. premiere of Smith's award-winning third verse play, Love Labours Won. MTC's THE COUNTRY HOUSE, Starring Blythe Danner, Enters Final Two Weeks of Performances

Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of The Country House, the new play by Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies, directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan, and produced in association with the Geffen Playhouse, starts the final two weeks of its run today at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street).

Manhattan Theatre Club just presented its Fall Benefitlast night, honoring longtime MTC collaborator, Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan. The evening featured appearances by some of Broadway's biggest names: Danny Burstein (The Snow Geese), Raul Esparza (The Homecoming), Boyd Gaines (The Columnist), Heather MacRae who appeared in the 1968 production of Hair which Sullivan served as assistant director,Frances McDormand (Good People), Cynthia Nixon (Rabbit Hole), friend and colleague Jack O'Brien, Mary-Louise Parker(Proof), and David Hyde Pierce (Accent on Youth).
