The six song EP is his first collection of solo material since his 2017 album Re-Covered. The new collection will feature four new recordings along with the previously released “Under The Circumstances” and “Red Light,” which was co-written with Jenny Owen Youngs and Ethan Gruska. Watch “A Nocturnal Heresy,” which follows the release of “An Alien In Minneapolis,” the first track to be released from Spanish Villager No 3. The namesake behind the new album is The Spanish Villager: a mysterious man with a potent message who has proven to be a versatile guy: he’s the subject of a short story Ondara wrote. The album is produced by Ondara and Mike Viola (Jenny Lewis, Dan Wilson) with contributions from Taylor Goldsmith and Griffin Goldsmith of Dawes, Sebastian Steinberg, Tim Kuhl and Jeremy Stacey. The new collection of songs features a much more full, electric sound. Today, Ondara is unveiling the first album single, “An Alien In Minneapolis.”

In response to Covid to provide some money to NYC’s many out-of-work or underemployed string musicians, Manny Alvarez launched a “Kolstein Performance Showcase” in collaboration with the Essex House on Central Park South/7th.  There is an ongoing schedule every Friday evening from 7-8 PM.
