Cast Announced for Midwest Premiere of REFUGE at Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre

Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre will open its 25th Anniversary season with the Midwest premiere of Refuge, a new play with music and puppetry from creators Satya Jnani Chávez and Andrew Rosendorf with translations by Mari Meza-Burgos. Refuge will begin previews October 7 with performances Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 6:00 p.m.

OC Premiere Of THE ELABORATE ENTRANCE OF CHAD DEITY Starts Next Month at Chance Theater

Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, announces the Orange County premiere of “The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity,” a dramatic comedy by Kristoffer Diaz that was one of the final nominees for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and snagged numerous “Best Play” Awards. Directed by Jeremy Aluma, “The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity” previews from September 23rd through September 30th, with regular performances running October 1st to October 23rd on the Cripe Stage at the Bette Aitken theater arts Center.

Equity Jeff Awards Announce 2022 Nominations

The Joseph Jefferson Awards have announced this year's Equity nominations, including 201 theater artists across 38 categories.  The 54th anniversary Equity Jeff Awards will take place October 17, 2022, at Drury Lane in Oakbrook, IL. 

Dallas Theater Center Welcomes New Resident Artists

Dallas Theater Center (DTC) announced the addition of Olivia de Guzman and Gary Adler to the theater's staff of resident artists. Adler will join the theater as Resident Music Director and de Guzman will be the newest member of the Diane and Hal Brierley Resident Acting Company as this year's Linda and Bill Custard SMU Meadows Actor. 

AIN'T TOO PROUD Comes to The Fabulous Fox Next Month

The Fabulous Fox Theatre and the producers of the Broadway smash hit musical AIN'T TOO PROUD – THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE TEMPTATIONS have announced  full casting for the First National Tour coming to St. Louis at the Fabulous Fox Theatre September 20 – October 2.

Previews for Free Shakespeare in the Park's AS YOU LIKE IT to Begin Next Week

The Public Theater will begin previews for the Free Shakespeare in the Park production of Public Works’ AS YOU LIKE IT on Wednesday, August 10. Continuing the 60th Anniversary Season at The Delacorte Theater, Public Works’ AS YOU LIKE IT will run through Sunday, September 11, with an official press opening on Tuesday, August 30.

54 BELOW will present JAIME CEPERO’S SONGS ABOUT ANXIETY 2.0 on August 17th 2022 at 930pm. Part ritual, part therapy, part queer kiki session, Songs About Anxiety 2.0 is the second installment of the concert performance showcasing original work from Afrolatinx actor, writer, and Gold Anthem Award recipient Jaime Cepero.

Westport Country Playhouse Stages Award-Winning Dramedy 4000 MILES

Westport Country Playhouse will stage “4000 Miles,” a Pulitzer Prize finalist and Obie Award-winning comedy/drama, written by Amy Herzog and directed by David Kennedy Playhouse associate artistic director, from August 23 – September 4. The four-member cast for “4000 Miles” features Mia Dillon as Vera Joseph with Clay Singer as Leo Joseph-Connell, Lea DiMarchi as Bec, and Phoebe Holden as Amanda.

Kieran Connolly Will Star As Ebenezer Scrooge in Dallas Theater Center's A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Dallas Theater Center announced that Kieran Connolly, the Dallas-based actor and former Diane and Hal Brierley Resident Acting Company member, will return to the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre to star as Ebenezer Scrooge in DTC's family-favorite A Christmas Carol. Connolly originally appeared as Scrooge in the 2013 remount of Enloe/Rose Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty's production.
