501 (see three) ARTS and 24th STreet Theatre are thrilled to present the West Coast premiere of Pang! today, December 2 at 8:00pm and Sunday, December 3, 2017 at 3:00pm. Pang! by Dan Froot and Company is a triptych of adventurous live radio plays based on the oral histories of three American families hungering for change. The 90-minute production is being performed for theatre audiences in the three cities where the actual families live: Cedar Rapids, Iowa (10/20 & 10/21), Los Angeles, California at 24th STreet Theatre (12/2 & 12/3), and Miami, Florida (1/26 & 1/27/18). Pang! aims to raise awareness, decrease stigma, and promote cross-class dialogue around circumstances faced by families living below the poverty line. Original Broadway Cast Members to Join George Takei in ALLEGIANCE's Los Angeles Premiere

East West Players (EWP) and Japanese American Cultural & Community Center (JACCC) are pleased to announce that for the Los Angeles premiere of the Broadway musical Allegiance, stage and screen star George Takei will be joined by Broadway cast members Elena Wang as Kei Kimura, Greg Watanabe as Mike Masaoka, Scott Watanabe as Tatsuo Kimura, and Janelle Dote as Hanako.

Arye Gross to Star in UNDERNEATH THE LINTEL at Geffen Playhouse

World Premiere: Modern Love and Marriage with a Twist in THE SIEGEL by Michael Mitnick

South Coast Repertory will produce the world premiere of The Siegel by Michael Mitnick (March 24-April 23, Segerstrom Stage). The cast is led by Ben Feldman and Mamie Gummer and features Amy Aquino, Matthew Arkin, Devon Sorvari andDominique Worsley. The Siegel, directed by Casey Stangl, is part of the Pacific Playwrights Festival, the theatre's annual new-play showcase. Scott Carter's DISCORD is more akin to an extended SNL sketch ~ longer to the tune of ninety minutes, comprised of a series of XV scenes, and made thoroughly bearable thanks to the whirlwind performances ~ albeit caricatures ~ of its original cast, Larry Cedar (Jefferson), Mark Gagliardi (Dickens), and Armin Shimerman (Tolstoy).
