Disney Theatrical Productions today announces that the critically acclaimed production of Frozen is extending until October 2022 due to public demand. The production opened at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in August last year, and has been playing to capacity houses since.
The West End production of Frozen has cancelled performances 22-24 December due to COVID-19. According to a statement posted to the production's social media accounts, the cancellations are due to 'Covid-enforced absences without our cast and crew.'
A Frozen Forest has appeared, with snow fall every hour from noon until 7pm alongside other magical touches across the area, including the Insta-famous Infinity Chamber having an icy makeover to appear Frozen, with an additional 3D neon installation at both the Long Acre and Floral Street entrances.

I would hesitant a guess to say that most of us know about Disney’s colossus beast, Frozen. Made famous when it debuted during Christmas 2013, it quickly became one of the company’s audience’s animated classics. Since its release we’ve had sequels, spinoffs, merchandise and now, a hit musical – which originally premiered in Denver, before opening in Broadway, and now recently landing in London’s West End. Loosely inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s 19th Century tale, The Snow Queen, Disney’s production turns much of the original story on its head.
As theatre comes roaring back, this autumn and winter see plenty of exciting new productions, including big West End musicals and intriguing plays. Here are the shows that we’re most looking forward to seeing.
