Blue Mountain Gallery has announced the 2023 Master of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibition of students from  Western Connecticut State University.

“Pretend” was written by Caillat alongside Grammy-winning, Hall of Fame songwriter Liz Rose and 7X chart-topping songwriter AJ Pruis. A common theme found throughout the album, “Pretend” laments on the ending of past relationship but aims to focus on the happy times rather than succumbing to feelings of sadness and regret.

Newbury's The Watermill Theatre has announced the full cast of their upcoming musical; a brand-new production of THE LORD OF THE RINGS, a musical tale based on the classic trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien, with book and lyrics by Shaun McKenna and Matthew Warchus and music by A.R. Rahman (Bombay Dreams, Slumdog Millionaire), Värttinä and Tony Award winner and Grammy nominated Christopher Nightingale (Matilda the Musical).

There are some things we don’t see enough in theatre. A few of these are: stories about women who love women and roles for older female-identifying actors. When these two come together, beauty often happens. Es & Flo is exactly this. Written by Jennifer Lunn, it follows Es’ condition as it threatens the life she’s built with Flo. It’s a stark reminder of the legacy of senior members of the LGBTQ+ community, a testimony of the survivors who fought for those rights that are still under threat today. It’s a harrowing celebration of lesbian romance.

Following a four-year national search, the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra (ASO) has appointed Geoffrey Robson as music director to lead the performing arts organization into its 58th season. Robson, who currently serves as the symphony’s artistic director, stood out from a field of exceptional candidates as the unanimous choice to guide the ASO’s creative future.

Signature Theatre will extend the world premiere production of MacArthur Fellow Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' The Comeuppance by two weeks. Concluding Jacobs-Jenkins' Premiere Residency—and Signature's 2022-2023 season of personal and profound works from its Resident writers—The Comeuppance, which began performances May 16, now runs through July 9

Renowned dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon Dr. Sandra Lee is no stranger to unusual skin issues, and in this new crop of episodes we see even more extreme cases and experience life-changing stories. In one case, large, painful keloids on a trans woman’s ears are keeping her from completing the journey she set out on over a year ago.

Consisting of guitarist Isaac Horn, mandolinist Lincoln Mick, and fiddler Bailey Warren, the genre-bending trio wrote and recorded Welcome in their hometown of Nashville, TN, working with engineer Logan Matheny (Colony House, Hiss Golden Messenger) and mixer Shani Gandhi (Sarah Jarosz, Sierra Hull).
