A handful of intrepid solo performers are presenting live, outdoor pop up performances of their acclaimed solo shows this Fall. These intimate storytelling events are presented using the LiveTours app and performed for an audience of 14 or less.

Jefferson Performing Arts Society is bringing the drive-in movie experience to Pontchartrain Convention and Civic Center this October, presenting movies that reflect their 43rd production season. These vintage films will be shown each Friday in October and will culminate with a special screening of Ghostbusters on Friday, October 30.

Troika has issued a statement to clarify a casting notice which called for submissions from only people of color for the upcoming national tour of TOOTSIE. The tour will be going out non-equity, though work had been done on an Equity production, including offers to actors and stage managers. The tour is set to launch in October in Buffalo.

Sony Pictures has announced that it's pushed back  “Morbius,” “Ghostbusters: Afterlife,” “Uncharted” and “Peter Rabbit 2”  to 2021. Almost every major Sony title was moved to 2021, with the exception of Kevin Hart drama “Fatherhood,” which moved up to Oct. 23, 2020, from Jan. 15, 2021. Tom Hanks' World War II drama “Greyhound,” was taken off the schedule indefinitely from its June release.

The acclaimed one woman show 'Bette Davis Ain't for Sissies' will be given a closed industry reading later this month, directed by Karen Carpenter (Harry Townsend's Last Stand, Love Loss and What I Wore) and starring Jessica Sherr, presented at Open Jar Studios.

The Warner Theatre will welcome comedian and actor KEVIN JAMES back to the Main Stage on Saturday, June 27 at 8 pm. The King of Queens, which premiered in 1998, ran for nine seasons on CBS with James starring and executive producing, and it garnered him an Emmy nomination in 2006 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. The show concluded its run in 2007 but continues to air daily in syndication across the country and around the world. James also starred in and executive produced the sitcom Kevin Can Wait for Sony Television and CBS.
