On the heels of the 16-time Grammy Award winner's sold-out, standing-room-only debut performance on Tuesday night, December 9, Sting's engagement in THE LAST SHIP on Broadway has been extended through January 24, 2015, the musical's producers Jeffrey Seller and Kathryn Schenker announced. Originally scheduled to perform with the cast for five weeks, Sting will now appear for an additional two weeks in the role of Jackie White in THE LAST SHIP at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 W. 52 St.).

The Clive Barnes Foundation just announced nominees their fifth annual Clive Barnes Award for young performers.

In this week's edition, we caught up with Collin Kelly-Sordelet, who is starring as 'Young Gideon/Tom Dawson' in The Last Ship- currently playing at the Neil Simon Theatre.

Peter LeDonne and Jamie deRoy were again broadcasting from Patsy's Restaurant and this weeks guests included Collin Kelly- Sordelet the 19 year old Montclair, NJ resident who plays Tom & Young Gideon in Sting's new Broadway musical THE LAST SHIP. Also on the program was Manny Kladitis, the founder and president of Niko Companies LTD, a group of theatrical and management Companies. After Jamie deRoy gave her run down of upcoming night life in NYC there was some serious "pillow talk" with the famous Mike Lindell the inventor of "My Pillow". Peter & Jamie were wide awake for his interview having noted they slept on a "My Pillow" the night before and were very well rested.

The music legend is reportedly not only waiving his weekly royalties from the musical, but he is even considering joining the cast in January.

On December 16, Universal Music Classics will release the Original Broadway Cast Album for THE LAST SHIP, produced by the Emmy-Award winning and multi-Grammy-nominated producer Rob Mathes. The play is directed by Tony Award-winner Joe Mantello and choreographed by Olivier Award-winner Steven Hoggett, with musical direction, orchestrations and arrangements also by Rob Mathes.

Sting stopped by this morning's TODAY to talk about making his Broadway debut as composer of the musical THE LAST SHIP, which is loosely based on his childhood. In addition, cast members from the show performed the number 'When We Dance.'

Today, November 7th, Sting and the cast of Broadway's THE LAST SHIP will perform live today. Also during the broadcast, the morning show goes behind-the-scenes of the musical with Sting.

The 16-time Grammy Award winner Sting - who has said his love of Broadway musicals dates to his childhood in Newcastle when his mother played Broadway cast recordings (CAROUSEL, OKLAHOMA!, etc.) that, to quote Sting, "I ate for breakfast," - just joined the cast of THE LAST SHIP to create the original cast recording of his new musical.
