When adapting famous novels into plays, the debate-and often the source of disappointment-is choosing what to cut. Elevator Repair Service has made the boldest, and yet at the same time the most neutral of choices in their adaptation: they have staged a production of F. Scott Fitzgerald's 'The Great Gatsby' that includes every single word of the novel.

The show is free with a suggested donations. Hosted by Amanda Duarte (#Pussygrabsback) the show will be featuring Ashley Nicole Black, Kenny Mellman, and Adam Feldman. Show starts at 8pm, but get there early for tunes, snacks and booze at 7:30pm.

The Lyric Stage Company of Boston's 2015-16 Season continues April 8 with MR. BURNS, a post-electric play by Anne Washburn, with a score by Michael Friedman and lyrics by Anne Washburn. Directed by A. Nora Long, the production also features music director Allyssa Jones and choreographer Yo-El Cassell. MR. BURNS runs through May 7, 2016, with the official opening slated for April 10.

Directed by John Collins, THE SOUND AND THE FURY begins performances in The Public's Martinson Theater on Thursday, May 14 and run through Saturday, June 13, with an official press opening on Thursday, May 21. THE SOUND AND THE FURY will mark the third collaboration between The Public and Elevator Repair Service, having previously presented Gatz and Arguendo. October is an auspicious month to make this announcement, as it marks the 85th anniversary of the original publication date of William Faulkner's masterpiece.

Fed up with a culture that spends more energy warning girls how to avoid rape instead of teaching boys rape is always wrong, playwright Winter Miller created Rape Aid, an experiment in activism, theater and charity with an all-inclusive post-show dance party. For Rape Aid, a half dozen artists were commissioned to make short pieces (plays, monologues, songs, films) for an evening to incite dialogue on the subject of rape.
