SF Sketchfest presented by Audible announces the initial line up for the 18th annual San Francisco Comedy Festival January 10-27, 2019, featuring top comedic talent performing in venues across the city. Audiences can expect another outstanding year of programming and fun as SF Sketchfest will host major comedy stars and the best up-and-coming acts from around the world for non-stop entertainment including sketch, stand-up, alternative comedy, music, improv, films, tributes, live podcasts, storytelling, family shows, workshops, panels and more.

UCLA's Center for the Art of Performance (CAP UCLA) presents Los Angeles' legendary UnCabaret, celebrating 25 years of groundbreaking comedy in a one-time-only evening of wildly fun, idiosyncratic live performance, music and never-before-seen footage. Special guests include alumni Julia Sweeney, Janeane Garofalo, Bob Odenkirk, Maria Bamford, Greg Behrendt, Andy Kindler, Scott Thompson, Allee Willis, Laura Kightlinger, Alex Edelman, Rebecca Corry, Jill Soloway and many more to be announced, hosted by creatrix Beth Lapides with musical director Mitch Kaplan on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. at The Theatre at Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles. Ben Rimalower will celebrate the recent release of his plays PATTI ISSUES and BAD WITH MONEY by Roven Records on Audible.com with a special performance BAD WITH MONEY at The Green Room 42 on Saturday, August 18 and a double bill of PATTI ISSUES and BAD WITH MONEY at Penguin Rep on Sunday, August 19. In Patti Issues, Rimalower explores the ways his lifelong obsession (and eventual working friendship) with Patti LuPone helped him navigate a tumultuous relationship with his volatile father. Since premiering in 2012, Patti Issues has garnered a tremendous amount of great press and word-of-mouth from attendees such as Tony Kushner, Alan Cumming, Laurie Metcalf and Ms. LuPone herself, who said, "The show's fantastic. It's really wonderful. I was moved." Patti Issues is directed by Aaron Mark (Empanada Loca with Daphne Rubin-Vega, Squeamish With Alison Fraser).

Writer/performer Michael Mullen is set for two Hollywood Fringe Festival Encore! Producers' Award performances of his solo show Hungry Bitch on Thursday, July 5, at 8pm and Sunday, July 8, at 5pm at Studio/Stage on Western Avenue, it was announced today by producer Andrew Carlberg.

Producers Zach Laks, Sarah Galli, and Joseph Lucius in association with Form Theatricals announce that due to scheduling conflicts, the Joe's pub production of LIZA '79, conceived and directed by Ben Rimalower, starring Larry Owens is postponed.  Originally scheduled for performances in June, new dates and casting will be announced at a later date.

The Los Angeles LGBT Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center has announced the return of the legendary Miss Coco Peru for an encore of her latest solo show, The Taming of the Tension. Directed by longtime collaborator Michael Schiralli, Coco will play two performances only at the Renberg Theatre on Saturday, April 28, at 8pm and Sunday, April 29, at 7pm.
