Culver City Public Theatre Kicks Off Season Tomorrow With THE ODYSSEY

Culver City Public Theatre (CCPT) opens its 14th season of free family friendly summer shows July 14th in Dr. Paul Carlson Park. All performances are open to the public. Founded in 1998, CCPT (a donation and grant supported 501c3 non-profit) is a member of the American Association of Community Theatres (AACT).

Randy Harrison to Join SILENCE!, 7/18

Beginning next Wednesday, July 18th, Randy Harrison will assume the role of Dr. Hannibal Lecter's nemesis, Dr. Chilton, in Off-Broadway's smash hit SILENCE! The Musical. July 18th also marks the first performance of SILENCE! The Musical at the brand new Elektra Theatre in Times Square, located at 673 Eighth Avenue (at 42nd St.)

SILENCE! THE MUSICAL to Move to Elektra Theatre on July 18

The Producers of Off-Broadway's sellout sensation, SILENCE! The Musical, today announced that the hit musical is set to move to the brand new Elektra Theatre in the heart of Times Square, with performances beginning next Wednesday, July 18th. The Elektra Theatre has been specially constructed to be the new home of SILENCE! The Musical. Located at 673 Eighth Avenue (at 42nd St.), the gorgeous new Elektra Theatre features plush stadium seats and the best sight lines of any theatre in New York City.

SILENCE! THE MUSICAL Celebrates One-Year Anniversary Today

SILENCE! The Musical celebrates its one-year anniversary today, July 9th at PS122. Winner of the 2012 Off Broadway Alliance Award for Best Musical, SILENCE! The Musical is the unauthorized parody of The Silence of the Lambs, with book by Hunter Bell, music & lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and direction & choreography by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli.

ACME Releases New Album 'Loving the Chambered Nautilus' Today, 6/26

ACME: American Contemporary Music Ensemble announces today's June 26 release of the group's debut album, William Brittelle's Loving the Chambered Nautilus, on New Amsterdam Records. Loving the Chambered Nautilus, Brittelle's third album, is a new series of retro-futuristic, electro-acoustic chamber pieces composed by Brittelle and performed by acclaimed violist Nadia Sirota, cellist Clarice Jensen and ACME.

SILENCE! THE MUSICAL Celebrates Gay Pride with Special Matinee Today, 6/23

SILENCE! The Musical is celebrating Gay Pride weekend with a special added matinee performance today, June 23 at 3 PM at PS122. The cast of the smash hit show is scheduled to appear in Sunday's Pride March, which begins at noon at 36th St. & Fifth Ave. and ends at Christopher & Greenwich Streets. The cast will be bringing along fun surprise goodies to hand out to all their fans in the crowd.

Broadway Stars Set for WORST AUDITION EVER at Joe's Pub Tonight, 6/18

After a successful year-long run in Hollywood, Calif., Worst Ever Productions presents its first installment of the cult-hit evening of comedy WORST AUDITION EVER in New York City at Joe's Pub - produced by Christine Lakin, Alec Ledd, Daniel A. Miles, and Corri English. The ticket proceeds from this performance of WORST AUDITON EVER will be donated to The Actors Fund. Artists participating include Tyler Maynard (Altar Boyz, Little Mermaid), Kevin Duda (The Book of Mormon, Les Liaisons Dangereuses), Jena Friedman (writer for Late Night With David Letterman), Jenna Leigh Green (Wicked, For the Record: Baz Luhrman), John West (The Drowsy Chaperone, Newsical the Musical) and Cheryl Stern (La Cage Aux Folles, Candide).

Ben Schwartz, Linus Roache & Visit SILENCE, 5/31

Ben Schwartz ('House of Lies,' 'Parks and Recreation") Linus Roache (Batman Begins, Priest), Johanna Day (Tony nominee for Proof) and Pete Simpson (Blue Man Group) all descended on SILENCE! The Musical on May 31st to catch leading man David Garrison's last performance prior to his vacation. Tony Award winner Shuler Hensley is currently filling in as Dr. Hannibal Lecter through June 24th.

Chance Theatre Presents WEST SIDE STORY, 7/14 - 8/12

Anaheim Hills, California…Chance Theater is thrilled to present the third show of its 2012 season with the legendary musical of our time, like you have never seen it before, WEST SIDE STORY, music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, book by Arthur Laurents, musical direction by Robyn Wallace, choreography by Kelly Todd and directed by Chance Theater's Artistic Director Oanh Nguyen.
