SILENCE! The Musical, currently nominated for two Lucille Lortel Awards including Best Musical, will celebrate its 200th performance tonight, April 6th at The 9th Space Theatre at Performance Space 122, 150 First Avenue (at 9th St.) SILENCE! The Musical is the unauthorized parody of The Silence of the Lambs, with book by Hunter Bell, music & lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and direction & choreography by Christopher Gattelli. After opening on July 9, 2011 the show immediately became a sold-out phenomenon and was selected by Time Magazine as one of the year's Top 5 Musicals. Due to overwhelming ticket demand, the producers recently put a new block of seats on sale through September 2nd.

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company will present the DC premiere of Arias with a Twist created by 'drag chanteuse extraordinaire' Joey Arias (performer) and master puppeteer Basil Twist (director). Arias with a Twist will run April 4-May 6, Tuesdays-Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 8pm and 10:30pm, and Sundays at 7pm.

Two of the stars of SILENCE! The Musical, Jenn Harris (Clarice Starling) and Stephen Bienskie (Buffalo Bill) will be this week's guests on the popular WBAI (99.5 FM) radio program "The Artsy Fartsy Show," hosted by Barika Edwards, tomorrow (Tuesday) between 2 & 3 PM.

Sonar Entertainment Inc. and Ecosse Films have joined forces to develop and produce QUARTERMAIN. The new 10x60 action-adventure series is based on the classic swashbuckling stories by iconic Victorian-era author H. Rider Haggard.

Musical Chairs Chamber Ensemble, Inc. (MCCE) presents the third concert in its 2011-12 residency at The Staten Island Museum on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 8pm. The evening features works by MCCE's 2011-12 composer-in-residence Andrew Rosciszewski, MCCE's Composer Search Finalist 2012 Elizabeth Nonemaker, Claude Debussy, Manuel De Falla, Alan Hovhaness, Henryk Gorecki and Francis Poulenc performed in a cabaret-style setting by MCCE members Tamara Keshecki (flute), Amanda Romano (harp), Elizabeth McCullough (soprano) and Wen-Yi Lo (piano). The performance will be livestreamed from www.mcensemble.org via Justin.TV and MCCE will field questions during via Twitter and Facebook.

The Shakespeare Theatre Company welcomes to its stage world-renowned puppeteer Basil Twist and his production of Petrushka, which will run at STC's Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street NW) from March 16-25, 2012.

Music/Words (www.musicwordsnyc.com), an interdisciplinary series founded and curated by NYC- based pianist Inna Faliks (www.innafaliks.com), continues its fourth season on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at 6:00 pm with a performance at New York's Cornelia Street Cafe featuring Faliks and guest pianist Clarice Assad at the piano along with soprano Samantha Malk and poet Irina Mashinski. The program will explore the sensuousness of early Schoenberg (with the Stefan Georgy poetry used in the songs), along with the passion of Mashinski's poetry and Assad's Brazilian music. The program includes Schoenberg's Drei Klavierstucke, opus 11; his songs from Book of Hanging Gardens; and various improvisations by Ms. Assad based on Brazilian piano music.
